I've got a ps5.
I bought a new guitar controller to play the rythm games I have on ps3 because I needed to know if I had gotten that bad since my peak or if the guitar controller I had was aging like shit because I could still understand what was coming at me on that note highway but my accuracy seemed way lower than it should have been.
Turns out it was the controller. But also the system if I try to play RB2, it drops frames like crazy in heavy crowd moments.
So then I bought RB4 for the PS4, figuring the PS5 should handle it easily. And it does... But for some reason it keeps losing the connection with the controller. All I have to do is unplug the USB dongle and plug it back in (nothing else works because the guitar lights indicate that it is connected with the dongle, it's just the ps5 isn't communicating with the dongle for some reason). This doesn't happen on my PC or even the PS3, though I kinda wish it did happen on the PC because then I might actually be able to debug it. Though I suspect it might be just doing it because it's 3rd party and didn't make Sony any money so why would they care if I can use it?
PS5 supports Bluetooth, but not my Bluetooth headset. Nope, gotta buy an official sony one because fuck you, give us money if you want to use a device with your console. Though I haven't tried to use it again recently so maybe they've changed it, but I'm not holding my breath and I'm also not likely getting their next console.
Those are usually for moving violations, not things like parking fines.
I was happy to see a city near me had marked some sidewalk space as bike lanes on an expanded sidewalk.
There's always someone saying something like this in any "I hate ads" kind of thread but I gotta say that it sounds like the sort of shit marketers want everyone to believe because they want to drive demand for them.
I'm calling bullshit and don't believe that marketers have unlocked any kind of mind control powers that work on everyone including those hostile to what they are trying to say and that our subconscious are so easy to manipulate once we've become aware of those manipulations.
Or maybe he realized that if he hadn't had a special occasion by then, maybe he should just wear his shoes and get some enjoyment out of them instead of saving them for some vague moment that might never come or maybe he wouldn't even think about the shoes until after if it did. Or maybe such an occasion did come up and he did forget the shoes until after and then just decided to wear them to work.
Or he works a white collar job and had a presentation or something so it was a special occasion.
I can't even stand that "corporate enthusiasm" tone anymore. It's just fake.
Probably just a random instinct that was reinforced by survival of the fittest (at group population levels) because it meant that group didn't contaminate their nests or water with the dead, which would also attract scavengers that might also try to prey on living penguins when there weren't any already dead handy.
Or maybe they go to get frozen so that when a future penguin solves the problem of death, they can go and unfreeze the frozen penguins and use that massive undead penguin army to conquer more southern islands.
Those photos were taken right after the tariff was removed from the socks.
Lmao at that subscription model they have. They offer 2 subscriptions for more than twice the price if a single one for "serious investors".
Plus $30 shipping from Egypt.
Unfortunately, Lemmy is also populated by people and rationality is fluid. Hell, even for myself, some portion of my votes are more emotional while others are more rational.
I believe they are saying that preserving the union was a mistake.
I gotta say that this collection of stories plus all the others is starting to feel less like power mods with vendettas and more like a large scale astroturfing campaign intended to weed out people capable of using logic and/or bridging the gap in the various manufactured (or falsely amplified) conflicts dividing people for no good reason.
It's especially weird how many feature "argued about it for 3 messages then admin banned for harassment", especially since reddit's mod problem isn't exactly a secret and they'd be even more aware of it with the full visibility they have and you'd figure they'd want to address it if they were operating on good faith.
Was it even that or just a hash of the url (or whatever text/data was being "confirmed")?
Yeah, it's like the difference between sitting in a stopped car with all the doors open vs sitting in a moving car with the front driver and rear passenger windows open. The first one might feel cooler on a windy day, if the wind is blowing in the right direction, but the other will have consistent airflow from the outside through the car and back outside.
Why frog DNA anyways? Wouldn't bird DNA have been better, since it's literally dino DNA, or (non-bird) reptile DNA, since that's the family dinosaurs were in?
You don't ruin good Noita runs. Good Noita runs ruin you.
Would have been a bumpy ride lol.
I never liked steak. Growing up, my parents tended to overcook everything (not sure if deliberate, my dad always ordered his steak well done at restaurants), which made eating steak or pork chops an annoyingly chewy experience all for the reward of dry, bland meat.
Just a few months ago, I bought a striploin cut and decided to keep it simple and just die a fry/bake and got lucky and cooked it perfectly (I say got lucky because I had screwed up my plan but caught it at the perfect time and the next few attempts weren't nearly as good because I didn't screw up the flawed plan and inadvertently stop cooking it when it happened to be perfect). And now I get why some people are obsessed with steaks.
I still prefer burgers and generally meats that aren't beef if I'm having meat, but every now and then I'll try a steak. Though I got a mixer and grinder, so there's a decent chance that the nice cut will get turned into a nice burger or meatballs, now that I have easy access to ground meat that isn't just from scraps or cheap cuts and don't have to hand mix it.
thanks for using Leebra!
