Exactly, the claim of disaster is moronic but typical for many politicians.
It disregards the fact that many elderly are way more self helped, so the life expectancy increasing doesn't have a similar requirement for care and healthcare. And productivity per capita is increasing.
We have higher pension age here (Denmark) too than we had in the 70's. But way more women are working and automation and computers and generally improved methodologies have resulted in way way higher productivity.
We could live with the standards of the 70's and only work 5 hours per week, or have a pension age of 40.
The only reason to raise the pension age is the ever ongoing race for more wealth.

What we have now is slavery to the 1%, who take in 50% of the wealth generated! Just getting rid of them, and we would only have to work half, and maintain the same wealth for the rest.

Even if a good candidate is elected, the power comes from the wealthy,

Exactly, taking your country back, should start with taxing the rich heavily, not with giving them even lower taxes. That would be a good start for Americans.

I look forward to see this reviewed, 28 Compute Units on the GPU is below the Radeon RX 9060 XT that has 32.
Hopefully it isn't too limited in other aspects like RAM bandwidth.

But on the other hand an RX 9060 XT alone is almost half the price of this entire unit (EU price). So if it can perform about as fast as that, it seems like a pretty good deal.

Edit:

Saw the Gamers Nexus review, and I'm impressed with how small it is, it's also very power efficient. But those are not the things I'm looking for in a gaming system. And I am not impressed with the performance/price ratio.

Well I don't care to read about Nazis on X either.
Idiots are on Facebook, so no wonder idiotic things are happening there, and can be successful.
Idiot Nazis are on X, so no wonder idiotic Nazi things are going on there.

Both should be illegal IMO. Here in Denmark influencers are regulated as marketing, and the penalties are pretty steep if they target children with advertising for for instance make-up.
I am surprised if the same isn't the case for other EU countries.

Everything you write is as true for 1.5 MW compared to old 150 kW chargers.
First of all if you charge 3 stacks at a time, you can use the same cables but having 3 of them.
Second you can double the output on the same cables by going from 800 volt to 1600.
So in response I'd say that the Truck could even charge at 10 MW with higher voltage batteries, using multiple battery stacks.

Your argument is as naive as if I claimed CATL can't switch 3 batteries simultaneously, because that would require 3 machines to perform the switch.

How is that an article?
Every country has record low trust in USA, why pick Australia in particular?

Even USA has record low trust in USA.

Yes but 1.5 MW is for normal passenger cars, as I write regarding Diesel trucks, they have special high pressure fueling, obviously they should have something similar for charging.
If the truck has 3 separate packs, I don't see why it wouldn't charge at 4.5 MW or even higher.

Edit:
Shitty article/headline claiming that SK Hynix is worth more than Samsung, when in reality it's only Samsung Electronics.

--

That won't last for long I think.
Just Samsung electronics had more than 5 times higher revenue in 2024. with $ 220 billion USD against $ 42 billion USD for SK Hynix.
Or profits of ₩43.6 trillion against ₩19.8 trillion for SK Hynix. And RAM was already very lucrative in 2024!

And apart from that Samsung has 5 other major subsidiaries that are significant on a global scale.

SK Hynix may make more money right now, but that's not gonna last for long, the AI bubble will burst, and even if it doesn't, Samsung is a reputable RAM maker too. And China is moving up on RAM production now.

In short, I personally wouldn't touch SK Hynix stock if it's valued higher than Samsung that has world leading products in several segments of several industries.

But of course if you read the article , you can see the actual comparison is to Samsung ELECTRONICS, and not Samsung as stated in the headline. What a shitty headline! đŸ€Ą

But even against Samsung Electronics SK Hynix doesn't deserve to be worth more, according to the article it's mostly based on HBM memory, which Samsung makes too, and Samsung was even first to make HBM4 memory!!

Jake Broe is a long time YouTube commenter on the Ukraine war.
He covers just about everything, from the strategies and general development of the war, to the politics in Ukraine, Europe, USA and Russia.
Jake Broe is among the most well rounded sources for staying updated on the war in Ukraine. As any normal person he is obviously biased for Ukraine.

In this segment among many other things he shows a few FPV drone attacks, and some of them you can see the soldiers facial expressions when facing imminent death. This is very brutal IMO, it shows the ugliness of war. But we can't afford to feel sorry for these Russian soldiers, they should have stayed at home, their loss is necessary in the defense of Ukraine.

Russia is the inhumane aggressor, attacking a peaceful neighboring country without reason, and at very high cost to themselves too.

Slava Ukraini.

Battery swap is kind of cool because a swap is super fast with the newest swap stations.
(Disclaimer not by personal experience, only as seen in reviews.)
But it seems that for it to have any future, there needs to be strict standards bodies for it. Otherwise the logistics will never reach a point to make it feasible at scale.
With chargers getting very fast too, the advantage of swapping is diminishing while the costs are not.
This is the case for normal cars, but I guess it's not much different for trucks.
BYD has batteries now that can charge at 1.5 MW for a normal passenger car, and CATL too is at least at 1.3 MW last I heard.
The special equipment used for trucks should be able to go way higher, like they pump diesel way faster than normal cars under high pressure.

Swapping is great because the battery can be changed quickly, without the harm of charging quickly.
But without standardization the logistics will be a nightmare, and probably prohibitively expensive.

Ukraine successfully attacked military targets around Kerch, and even took out air defenses placed directly on the bridge.
It seems like Ukraine could have easily hit the bridge, but for some reason didn't.
One possible reason could be to give Russians the opportunity to leave.
The Kerch bridge is supposed to be one of the most heavily defended targets in Russia, so it's kind of crazy that Ukrainian drones could do almost as they pleased and just take out the defenses!!

Exactly like we saw in the recent unprecedented attack on Saint Petersburg the 2nd largest city in Russia, during the International Economic Forum DAVOS, which is an important event for Russia with many prestigious international visitors.

Thenwe had the extremely successful attacks on refineries around Moscow, just a few days ago.

And now an attack on targets around and on the Kerch bridge.

All these targets are heavily defended with air defenses. and Moscow is thee most heavily defended in Russia, but despite that Ukrainian drones were able to operate almost unhindered!!

AFAIK it is not known how Ukraine does it, but the videos we've seen indicate that they are simply using evasive maneuvers to avoid the air defenses? I'm not a military expert of any sort, but AFAIK that shouldn't be possible?
Whatever it is, it seems like the Russian air defenses are next to useless in preventing Ukrainian drone and missile attacks, and the war has now come to Russia.

An interesting and weird observation is that during all these attacks, when you see footage, there are no sirens to be heard!?
For some reason the Russians don't even care to warn their own citizens so they can seek shelter.
Maybe a typical Putin strategy of obscuring the fact that there even is an air attack going on. So people only notice when the drones are flying overhead, and when their refineries and defenses burn.

Annoying that the picture in the thumbnail shows as a video, but it cannot be played. Instead it plays another video?

I like the concept, if you can install it yourself it's a huge saving compared to having a company do it, for us installation of our solar panels by an independent company was €4.600,- which is a pretty steep price IMO, and a significant part of the whole investment of getting solar panels.
But demand is simply so high that they can almost charge what they want. And despite the high price there was over a month waiting time.

So are you one of those that claim that Republicans and Democrats are the same?
That having a Republican controlled congress with a Republican president is the same as if they were both Democrat?

because if you answer that with a yes, I think I'm just gonna block you.

it’s practically the entire goddamn government.

Why don't you draw the logical conclusion, and realize it's the American population that elected the dumb motherfucker that is responsible for the entire administration. And the American population that also elected a congress that doesn't do anything!

For fucks sake, Americans elected an obvious psychopath for president, with an equally psychopathic vice president!!!

Edit:
I'm guessing the downvotes are Americans that are in denial, because the above claims are undeniable facts, except the motherfucker part, which is rhetoric I borrowed from the previous posts.

No that's not a good enough reason, Samsung makes HBM4 too, and has better access to production on their own advanced facilities.
As I already stated, Hynix may have better profits right now, but no doubt Samsung can match that, and when the RAM craze is over, Samsung is in a 100 times better position.

Hynix is not worth more than Samsung in reality, this is just another AI craze without a basis in reality.
