Lucky for me I can’t afford a new car anyway. I’ll just keep driving my unconnected car.

Feels like a lot of culture creep. Some of these wing nuts talk about the first amendment as if we have that here. Some of them also seem to think that our Prime Minister has presidential powers. I think the “fuck Trudeau” flags are a rip off of the “fuck Biden” flags too.

I had no idea call of duty was such a big deal. It’s not my jam so I never notice it.

Because it’s easy. You don’t have to think for yourself if you let someone else do it.

How do you go about getting an invite to one of these holy grails?

If it wasn’t actually problematic it would be fascinating. It’s like watching a documentary about a cult.

The first layer needs to stick to the build plate well. If it doesn’t stick the print will fail and best case you’ll need to start again.

First layers are notoriously fiddly to get right because there are so many variables that affect it.

They made it so social media companies have to pay for the news. It’s Meta that’s doing the blocking.

I’m a casual follower of politics. If an article like this pops up on my (formerly Reddit) Lemmy home feed I’ll often give it a scan.

Maybe someone who pays more attention can correct me but it seems that when PP makes a statement that’s conspiratorial he’ll refuse to answer questions about it. Am I wrong about that? Does he ever answer difficult questions or even try to dodge them without a script?

Horse shit. No one gets that wealthy without making some anti climate decisions. That class of people have the power to make significant sacrifice for the better while normal folks have the power to make very tiny sacrifices.

Not saying we shouldn’t all be doing our best but at this point in time the ones with power are steering the ship.

I had a men’s hoodie from Bench that had those thumb holes. Loved it.

They’re out there.

I was talking to a friend about this the other day. I really can’t understand how back to work legislation is a thing (I realize that’s not quite what happened here but it could have). What’s stopping the workers from simply continuing to strike? Will they arrest ~7200 people? What’s the point of organization if management/the government can just say “nope, you’re done, go back to work”?

For a lot of people it does have to be that way though. I just saw an article claiming 7 million Canadians are struggling to put food on the table. They can’t really decide to take the more expensive climate friendly way. A billionaire could absolutely decide to do that though.
