Most Graphene users are still using Google, but in sandboxed mode. Very few, myself among them, are willing to put up with the downsides of no GPS

This belief is held by many older folks due to propoganda, and it is passed down to their children when their parents teach them about taxes. Since almost all younger folks use automated tax services, if they aren't doing the math themselves, the fact that this isn't true isn't going to be discovered. I was taught the incorrect way when I was a kid, but noticed that it was wrong the first time I had to do my own taxes. But when I told my parents the way it actually worked, they didn't believe me until I showed them the .gov site that breaks it down. I grew up in a small, blue collar town, and every single person I talked to about taxes parroted the same incorrect system.

Nothing the other guy said contradicts this? Nor shows a lack of understanding this?

When I had to put our golden retriever down (15 years old, cancer) we called an in-home vet to do it since my dog hated the vet with a vengeance. She would get anxious in the car if we even took the vet's freeway exit. We cooked her an entire pack of bacon, and sat there feeding it to her while the vet did their thing. It's a tough thing to go through, but the assurance that my dog wasn't scared on her way out was worth it

Gaslighting? I'm pretty sure the term you're looking for is gaslamping. Don't worry, it's a pretty common mistake for people to make.

My wife and I have traded being the bread winner back and forth over the years. We always called the one not making any money at the time the "bread loser"

There are only ~3000 billionaires in the world. It wouldn't take many like-minded folks to remove them from this world

My brother in law had a medical bill that was supposed to be covered by insurance, but they didn't pay. (A small-ish bill of a few thousand dollars) His bill was sent to collections, and they hounded him for years, despite him having in writing that the insurance and hospital both agreed that the insurance was supposed to cover it. After 8 years, they started garnishing his wages. This is when he decided to get a lawyer involved, and he was able to successfully sue the hospital for garnishing wages illegally. The hospital had to pay out 30K.

All that to say, hospitals aren't always acting intelligently or legally.

Yeah, this. I have 850 credit, and I've never carried a balance on any of my cards, not even once. As long as you make your payments on time, even if it's more than the minimum, your credit will slowly creep up. The annoying thing that lowers credit is paying off a loan. Wrapped up your student loans? Credit dip. Pay off the ol' car? Credit dip. Really annoying.

Coins in Mario Kart make a pretty substantial difference. The speed difference between someone with 0 coins and someone with 10 coins is pretty huge. I typically won't go too far out of my way for coins, but will try and pick up 10 by the end of the first lap.

The one time I used lua was to make a casino in Minecraft with the ComputerCraft mod like, over a decade ago. I enjoyed it. Even as a young lad I didn't like index from 1, though
