I'm glad your ex is an ex. I believe it's experiences like yours that highlights how sexism goes both ways. My heart goes out to you.

Not to nitpick but Ring is owned by Amazon so it feels redundant to say Ring will be joining Amazon

Its a mix. Some devs are definitely lazy but from what I have heard there is also a big push for devs to deploy faster and to actively use AI or be punished. So there is incentive to just get code out to meet deadlines/expectations and move on to the next task. The amount of work being put on an individual dev is rising with these accelerated expectations in mind, and getting another dev to review your code takes time from them and their own stack of tasks so code review quality has fallen greatly. Not to mention the high likelihood that AI is also doing code reviews to make up for this and we can only guess how many reviews get approved saying "you're absolutely right!"

I'll drop this link to a video that goes over pocket fashion history but from what I know of it the option of large pockets largely never existed for women in a meaningful way. By the time we as a society moved away from men using under garment bags we never gave women the same option.

But yes, currently it's popular. There is pressure to wear form fitting clothing. There is pressure to have a bag to accomodate the lack of pockets. This will continue a perpetual demand for small/false pockets.

I'm not sure that they're necessarily "widely available" or available "from any major retailer" I searched what you suggested and found a bunch of drop shipped results on amazon, walmart, and random sketchy sites.

I guess to me "widely available, almost anywhere, from any major retailer" sounds like these pants have saturated the market enough that I should be able to find them at any department store but honestly I have never seen large pocket options for women in a physical store. If there are physical stores carrying this option that you know of please let me know because I would love to be able to go try them out!

Seems to be ai generated recently. When reverse image searching just about everyone is asking for the same thing. The source link seems to be Pinterest. This was the best resolution copy I could find.

There is also an old Jhonen Vasquez (Invader Zim author) comic where he does a bit about a "tickle me hellmo". I always think about it when this Elmo meme comes up

I see that come up a lot with tattoo artists. Apparently their clients who are men tend to struggle with the pain of it and on the flip side the women tend to be more tolerant.

I know I've fallen asleep during certain tattoos, and while I did have one hurt quite a lot (in a well known place for pain) I just remember thinking oh wow this one is a doozy but I didn't do anything outwardly about it.

My husband on the other hand straight up passes out from the pain. He didn't believe me when I said I fell asleep for some of my tattoos so on my next tattoo I wore a heart rate monitor and he was in disbelief when I averaged about 50bpm through the whole thing.

I just lost my dad to cancer at the end of August. My last conversation with him, I asked him questions along the lines of "Are you in pain? Are you scared? What is worrying you the most right now?" My dad was very resilient to the end. He assured me he was in no pain and was unafraid, that he mostly felt very tired. His biggest worry was that my mother would stop eating and I had promised him to make sure she eats and is taken care of. He seemed much more relieved by that news than anything else. He then started talking mostly on his own, he reminisced about the life he lived, regrets he had, things he is proud of. He started to fall asleep mid story and I let him rest not knowing he wouldn't really wake up again. 2 days later he passed.

If I were you I would absolutely call. You can use the questions I asked my dad if you think your dad would be receptive to them. I think at the end of life, people want a space to express how they really feel even though normally the subject of imminent death is very uncomfortable. I think, had I not asked him what was worrying him the most, he might have died holding onto that unvoiced stress. That's just my experience though. My heart goes out to you and your family. Please take care of yourselves and my deepest condolences about your father.

I loved sekiro tbh and I'm sorry to hear your experience with it. It's definitely not a game for everyone.

Like another commentor said I wish I could play it for the first time again. It broke my dodge only habit and when I returned to other fs games I can now parry like no one's business and it's breathed new life into my play styles. It also made for a fun time through expedition 33 for the parry mechanic.
