For bills that are due on a regular basis but not monthly (car registration, oil changes, pet’s annual check up, HVAC check ups if you own a home, etc) - figure out how much each costs per year, add them all up, divide by 12, and set up an auto-transfer to a savings account for that amount every month. Don’t forget to include that amount in your monthly budget too.

May I suggest sock tag - use a rolled up sock (or something similarly soft). Kid runs around while you try to tag them with the sock. Similar to dodgeball, but no one should get hurt and you get to sit or lay down while they burn off energy.

Knitting a pair of socks for my spouse.

It’s from a single skein of yarn that goes from light gray to gray to black. I split the skein up so both socks would end up being the same gray on the leg part, but it’s taking longer to get to the gray than I’d planned so they may have a pair of mismatched socks.

There’s a store near us that almost always has some kind of sale going on. The catch is it isn’t immediate savings - you have to fill out and send in a rebate form. If you manage to do that, they send you “store credit” as a physical piece of paper you have to remember to bring to the store. I often wonder what percent of rebates never get submitted or used. Probably pretty high.

I had a laugh the other day because one of their competitors was advertising an “instant savings, no waiting for rebates” sale.

True when it comes to the facility staff. But Congresspeople also have Congressional staff. Those people should’ve reported it, and should be held accountable for not. Which isn’t a law that I know of and of course won’t happen, but it should.
