Ooooops, did anyone say STDs? Do what comes naturally, but, you know. Ya might die.
Agreed. I almost would have been upset if someone didnt explain this joke all the way to its death. Not to fear.
FUEL 2009
I recently had this dish for the first time ever and I love it. Yours looks slammin' !
One of the first big civ's in SEA ( I forgot if it was the harrapans or in (one of?) the first megacity, near present day angkor wat), The king had to climb a pretty steep climb after every day of work, so if they got really old or glutonous, he couldnt use the kings house and thus not be king anymore. Obv the idea is flawed, but I kind of like the idea of a built in physical test, that would disqualify you from a position of serious power if you fail to pass it.
I thought the same thing when they left an anti landmine group, but like others said, their neighbors are acting erratically and dangerous for national safety.
As I understand now, using mines gives a smaller defender a lot more power then a big attacker. Landmines still suck ass ofc but at least I understand the choice to use them from a country like Finland.
Nukes sound similar. If you can project mutually assured destruction, enemy choices are limited.
"They say that existing EU consumer law "already provides for important safeguards protecting the economic interests of consumers", and note that video game publishers have to inform about "the duration and the conditions for terminating the contract before the consumers signs up for the video game"."
Well that would be cool, but anything about the duration and conditions for terminating the contract i've ever read on boxes or terms of service is: " We can do whatever we like, whenever we like, just so we're clear' (im slightly paraphrasing). So it sound to me like the EC says: " Well these sellers said fuck you up front so they're immune to any responsibility". Cool, cool. I saw a digital fairness act, but maybe we can hang something up in the mandated warranty tree? So if a game shuts down in 6 months barring you from playing, you would be entitled to some form of restitution instead of hoping the dev has morals.
Still doesn't solve that corpo's have their fingers over the killbuttons on our cultural heritage existence, so, you know, there's a lot of work to do still.
I love it, thanks for sharing.
A 'Woonerf' is also a Dutch invention and used whenever possible to build new houses. That helps a lot to give younger kids safe autonomy, traffic is sparse and slow in a woonerf. My childhood shares a lot of similarities with yours, pedaling around the nearby neighborhoods looking for fun. It seems that would be a lot harder in a (more) car centric country
I love hiking nowadays but the avondvierdaagse felt like a mandatory thing when I was young. Maybe missing out on it was an even bigger motivator than participation itself back then.
Just googled to see if I was misremembering because I definitely browsed the regular web on my Nokia N73. It also came out in 2006, and back in the day it was not called a smartphone.
I would say your statement is factually incorrect.
Humanity accepts your challenge! See y'all on the battlefield ;-)
I like Lemmy a lot, and I liked Reddit before. I never really liked Twitter, just followed some NASA accounts that told what certain probes/landers/rovers were doing. I'm interested in Mastodon because federated platforms seem to sustainably fill the gap the big 5 are trying to enlarge. What kind of content are you guys getting from there?
Lemmy was kind of jarring at first, but extensions like the universal link switcher help a lot. Any stuff like that to help onboarding Mastodon? Thx folks.

The mice get all the good statues.
I have recently been using it more to connect with others on a new subject, but now for the first time ever on the internet since early 00's, we are all owners of it ourselves. All the great new stuff was always owned by others and frankly I'm sick of it.
I never even liked twitter. Then I followed #nature and #bloomscrolling on mastodon for a while and my home feed was a feast of beautiful pics. So now there's one use for me for microblogging. Neat! Mastodon does what it says it does and even offers 'default' instances. I'd love for some GO's to help reach that donation goal quicker, so we can all get with the program and ditch corpo social media. -Why doesn't my library host it's own peertube?? #MakeLibrariesGreatAgain
She's throwing out the whole playbook and trying this new thing the hipsters are calling: "Nuance" . This lady has some balls, what's next?? CONTROLLING YOUR EMOTIONS???
Fantastic! I'm reducing my dependency on for profit entities every day, and federation is a great means to that end. Let's welcome those moving over during the exodus!
I kissed her romantically as a joke , it's a running gag in our friend group. And then, as a joke , I squeezed her butt, because, that's just what good friends do you know??
Wow, this just seems like legal racism. Someone used the right to defend themselves in their own home against unknown assailants , and it's their own fault their loved one dies. Really. Really? That was some mental Jiu Jitsu from the judge.. wow.. I already thought the justice system in the US of A was broken, but I was wrong. Its a terminally infected void of dark hatred, just trying to fuck over anyone as hard and as fast as they can, a minority incarceration machine :). Except for policemen and women ofc.
But efficiency is not the only consideration, privacy and self reliance are important facets as well. Your argument about efficiënt computing is 100% valid but there is a lot more to it.
thanks for using Leebra!
