Da fuq? When I went to Christian school, they told me everyone who died without knowing Jesus go to hell. And I asked “how about babies?”, and they firmly told me “yes, they go to hell”

Just sent this to programmer friends to induce certain irony

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted when its obviously sarcasm… right? Right???

At least One Piece looks close to finishing. I’m also waiting on Case Closed and I can see that one going for another 10 years…

Sounds like a great place to work. I’ve always maintained a sparse work space so this would be perfect for me lol

You’d be surprised how often I play ranked with friends who complain about the other team for “trying hard”. It should be obvious but… somehow its not ¯_(ツ)_/¯

“Damaged sector” - words I never thought I’d see again

Still not “free” even if self-hosted and I would think perf and accuracy would be noticeably worse.

My company started using AI in coding process a lot more now but its only because the AI responses are useful 80% of the time. If its lower than that, not worth the time to use for most tasks.

Anecdotal but I switched once Steam worked on linux. That was really the one thing holding me back before.

But I also didn’t switch right away. I assume more and more people are realizing going to Linux won’t hinder their gaming.

Mixed experience so far. Love the interface but for some reason the content fails to load at time even though it works on browser or Mlem. Case in point, this comment was made in Mlem because the community failed to load in wefwef. Hopefully this gets fixed.

Exactly! Employers and managers typically won’t know either, unless they are micromanagers who track your every move. If this was a start up and doing more will have a big impact, then putting in more effort is justified. Med/large company? Nahhh

And as others have noted, how much time you are actually given. PMs and managers don’t know or care about code quality, they just want something to work NOW

Started reading Dungeon Meshi since ppl were recommending it. Damn, it’s way better than I expected. Lots of innovative ideas and the world building is topnotch. Can’t wait for the anime!

Also started reading Aishiteru Game. Pretty typical romcom, but I’m a sucker for casual romcoms, and the art is pretttty good. Only on chapter 11, hoping it remains strong

It’s not. Using browser or other lemmy apps work when wefwef fails. Pretty sure it’s also due to rate limiting of the app (wefwef in this case)

Competitive is fine, just don’t play ranked. Nothing but tryhards.

I need to rewatch this now that Im older. Maybe I’ll finally understand more..

Just downloaded it. This is awesome. Thanks for your hard work!!

Why would it take a scientist to demonstrate metric system…? Everything is in powers of 10. How hard is that to explain?

The blue, earless, mechanical cat - Doraemon

“Bad Move” indeed
