There were a few people at work today who drove past this. One woman was crying when she got to work as she thought it was real. Man had suspended himself from the bridge to look like he hanged himself. Moving to make it look like he wasn't dead yet. All this to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
How many children in cars saw this I wonder....

Suicide is a serious problem in NZ, but, there are more child friendly ways to raise awareness.

Just ban the fuckers from flying again. That will teach them.

I hate fireworks. I don't mind a professional fireworks display because not only is it pleasant to look at, it also comes to an end.

The morons setting them off for what seems like hours, is the shit that gets to me. We have Ruru in the reserve at the end of our street and following every fucking Guy Fawkes, diwali, Christmas, new year's, and any other time the inconsiderate fuckwits set off fireworks, I don't hear the Rurus for weeks. Nevermind the other birds, dogs, etc.

Nobody will care, but I'm struggling to concentrate at work because I bought a new MTB and it arrived sooner than expected.
Here I sit, while it awaits my attention in the garage at home, all by itself in a strange new environment.

I did consider pulling a sickie, but I'm not like that (karma, superstition, etc...). So, I'll put in a leave day tomorrow for a long weekend. Nonetheless, I'm gonna be as productive as a carrot today.

I'm sulking because the thing I ordered online is only going to arrive on Monday (after the long weekend). I cannot begin to explain how this makes me feel. It should have been an overnight service, but somebody screwed up. I may have to say a swear word.

Using one of my free power days, so I'm going to powerwash everything. Driveway, soffits, walls, paving, deck, the works. Do all the washing and tumble dry whatever can't fit on the wash line. Do all the, cooking, and probably leave all the lights on for good measure. Pity it's not a free water day.

I don't like working anymore. That's the problem.

I like to dip my Superwine biscuits in my coffee, but I get very upset when a piece breaks off and I have to scoop it out (usually with my fingers) before it gets too soggy and sinks to the bottom.

Then, what upsets me even further is when this happens to each one in the packet.

Wifey and I departed AKL 6:30 in the am. Drove down to Karangahake Gorge. She went for a walk while I rode my MTB to Paeroa along the Hauraki rail trail. Turned around in the town then rode back along the trail to Waihi. Watched the little train leave from the station bound for Waikino. Then rode back to the gorge. Packed the bike up into the car, drove to Waikino Station for an early lunch, then drove back home to arrive at 14h30. Bike washed, me showered, now waiting for wifey to get back from the grocery shopping during which she will acquire for me me a box of beer. Then I'm going to drink some of them while pretending to watch cycling videos on the YouTube thing. I anticipate having to watch some of them more then once because I find I start watching one video then suddenly I realise I'm in the middle of another one. Youtube videos jump around when it's hot like this.
