This is just like how I can praise so many things about China, push back against anti-China US propaganda, and still not pretend it isn’t an authoritarian regime where Xi made himself essentially life time president now.
Speaking of that, are there any left leaning subs that aren’t delusional?
Having been in all three sides of this situation, that’s my face exactly
Reminds me that I often like asking questions I could google because it’s more engaging too
I think with 2fa, qr codes, talking with family, and emergency services it's not reasonable to not have a phone. Instead of purchasing a device why not just turn it off and put it away when you're not using it?
Your maps and ipod have already showed you these are just tools. Continue down that route.

This feels like a framed catch to make us feel like this wasn’t possible to get away with
I hardly think memorizing every useless fact in a manual and blowing the technician is the best way to learn. In Linux I encounter problems and seek the answers then I know how to apply this knowledge in the future. This isn’t dynastic China where we must memorize the five great books (/usr/bin, fridge, stove, furnace, and the analects) in order to progress in life.
That’s actually sick
