Almost like they want to profit by harming kids.

The only reason Democrats don't do this is because they are afraid of losing their moderates. Us progressives want this.

DNC would rather have votes for the next election than affect real change. Whereas GOP have stopped caring about the next election all-together and will steal them from now on.

Because years ago, Henry Ford and the oil industry convinced Congress to make cars the method of travel across the US. VERY few places can be traveled without a car.

This is going to be another Panama files isn't it? Overwhelming evidence that billionaires are shits and world governments everywhere collectively do fuck all about it.

I'm going to take a stab and say she's a recruiter for a third party staffing company.

They REQUIRE word docs so that they can copy and paste or edit your resume on their template.

Pro tip: take the requirements that they send you and Google search for it. Apply directly with the company and cut them out.

I mean....if you don't want people asking questions about your military service, maybe, just maybe, don't question the military service of your opponent.

I've met these women. They aren't stupid, per se. They don't want to "think". They just want to live their simple life, doing whatever their husband or kids want.

They don't want to think about the world. Just their world.

But think about this for a second.

It's the conservative mindset: "The world doesn't affect ME so why should I care? I'm not being oppressed so everything is fine!"

I had this one user who kept using an old report. It used a terribly provisioned db account and had to be changed.

We created a v2 that was at feature parity to v1 and told users to move off of v1. Slowly but surely it happened.

Except one user.

We put up nag screens. Delays on data return, everything we could go "carrot" them to the new version but they stuck with it.

Eventually I called the guy and just asked him, "Why are you still using the old version?"

His answer, "no one ever told me about the new version."

I asked him if he got our email. He said no. I forwarded it to him.

"Oh."

I asked him didn't you read the nag screens? He said no.

I asked him, "The page doesn't allow you to move on until you wait 90 seconds. Why didn't you read it?"

"I didn't think it was important."

I learned an important lesson that day: never wait for all users to move. Once you have enough, start doing scream tests.

They don't. Companies regularly abuse DMCA notices because the law REQUIRES a hosting company to take down the information immediately.

It allows 14 days for the same information to be restored after receiving a counter notice.

The problem with "age" verification is that politicians are confusing it with identity verification.

I should not have to prove my name and other biometrics to prove age.

Age verification is the fascist way to get people to identify themselves and their online activity. Almost every state that has some sort of age verification law has zero method to actually verify age. No digital ID service, no way to share a credential for verification.

They want people to upload an ID.

This isn't about keeping children safe and it never is. It's about identifying critics of the government.

I was hoping this picture would be on this thread.

Crying is only allowed by men if you're a conservative under oath I suppose.

Let's add another one.

I was on a contract for the government when my company hired a really good DBA. He hated dressing up. He was introduced at a meeting and wore a polo shirt, which I thought was fairly professional.

Government contracting guy said to wear a tie.

Next meeting, he wore a tie around his polo shirt.

He was fired on the spot.

There are times I fucking hate the government and this was one of those times.

The guy was fucking amazing. But my company fired him because the government didn't want someone so sloppy on the team.

Biden absolutely did the right thing and, perhaps, the most courageous thing.

Democrats would have coalesced around him if decided to keep going but we've been begging him to step aside. This is a key difference between Trump "fans" and Biden voters. We're not drawn to him as a personality.

Once a candidate is selected, I don't care who it is, we must support them because not doing so is voting for an end to democracy.

The fact that we're here is a travesty.
