I think that anyone who's been around reddit long enough knew this was coming. Reddit isn't a free and open platform, and never was. The admins allowed moderators free reign just so long as they didn't do anything that reddit didn't want.

But all the Musk bros told me he's a "free speech absolutist"
I feel like this post is basically saying "our hammer isn't a hammer because we put a really nice grip on it and it's being wielded by a very nice person". At the end of the day, it still drives a nail.
Just because there's a cultural difference doesn't mean it isn't the same type of social media tool. Simply call it a better form of Twitter and be done with it.
"Good faith" = corporations screwing you
"Bad faith" = you screwing corporations
There, I've simplified it.
I don't understand PragerU... they put out all of this fascist propaganda, but they still have this video up on their YouTube channel that spells out in no uncertain terms that the cause of the civil war was slavery and the south's want to defend a "morally repugnant institution":

Is this just the one thing they keep out there to point at and say that they're "fair and balanced"?
Is it "do nothing and continue to pretend everything's fine while taking huge amounts of money from the fossil fuel lobbyists"? Because I bet that's the plan.
Oh so some Republicans still quietly like freedom, got it.
Everyone's going to say No, and "just subscribe to the most active one", but if you're a 'Fediverse completionist' and want to ensure that there's not a single thing you miss anywhere at any time, then the answer is Yes.
This is great, but christofascist-run states are just going to either straight outlaw it, or enact some kind of requirements making it virtually impossible to obtain anyway. A med being over the counter doesn't stop them from making it legally or at least practically unavailable.
Racist pieces of shit have already stolen swastikas (meh), viking stuff, white polo shirts, red hats, and the OK hand gesture among many other things that we can no longer in good conscience use. Stop letting these assholes have our words, symbols and clothing items. Take them back, make them our own again.
No one is seriously mistaking the PC Master Race joke with an honest attempt to genocide our way to a "pure race" or some evil shit. Suggesting that the name be changed is cutting the nose off of a community solely in order to spite its face, and doesn't 'protect' anyone.
I don't know that they're even trying. They don't give a shit what poor young people think, and their asshole supporters parrot that "they don't deserve it" and "they should've known better before they took the loan"... completely ignorant of the massive economic crisis the nation is facing because of it.
I'd bet they reacted like they did specifically because the person is a minor - a minor who is in the care of the airline and who they're responsible for until they reach the intended destination. If the final flight arrived without the minor on it without it being intended, they would most certainly have some level of liability for the minor's whereabouts.
If you're preparing for it, is it really that "unexpected"...?
I am so confused... this is being posted to lemmy.film. That's like walking into a 7-Eleven and asking if there's some place where you can buy a flavored ice drink.
As if there weren't enough money behind Activision-Blizzard, Microsoft is about to buy them. You might as well wish for the oceans to dry up.
lemmygrad looks completely unhinged to me
...
[Beehaw's] moderation looks totalitarian and rigid
Yes. They're not on the opposite sides politically, but are on opposite ends of the spectrum for tolerating wack-a-do nonsense.
I think it's more appropriate to say that internet searches in general had been getting worse over the last several years, but it just so happened to be the case that your answer could likely be found in a reddit thread.
Isn't that just the progressive left? As far as I know we don't worship figureheads like the fascist right with their orange demigod.
When it comes to motherboards, they have to develop the slot / physical form factor for the memory chips and get motherboard manufacturers to begin adopting it, whereas GPU manufacturers can just begin integrating the new memory on their boards when they feel the price/performance ratio is worth it.
(edit) - For clarification, GPU's don't have sticks of RAM the way a motherboard does. The memory is just soldered on the GPU along with the rest of the chips.
If the question asked was "do you agree to the contract?" and the farmer answered "đ", then yeah I can see it. But if the question asked was "have you received the contract?", then this ruling is bullshit. Unfortunately the article doesn't have enough information either way.
