When do I get my turn at PM?
@feddit.uk
Well, if it is him, he's got form . . . he was convicted of failing to stop after hitting a cyclist.

If you need color, then I highly recommend the Epson EcoTank line of printers. No printer cartridges AT ALL - just raw 4 color ink. They cost more than most inkjet printers up front . . but more than save in the long run. And NO DRM in site . . rather difficult to put DRM into liquid ink . . .
Has the GrapheneOS team ever, once, been supportive of ANY other custom ROM initiative? I ask this as someone with both a GOS Pixel10 and a FairPhone 6 running /e/ on my desk this week.
For as good as their security approach is, their constant shit talking of others also making efforts to free us from big tech helps no-one.
Oh the irony of using the phrase "blessed OS's" coming from the GOS camp.
Trying to. This is a FANTASTIC tool to find new "subreddits" on Lemmy: https://sub.rehab/
Uber?????????
Serious suggestion - install Shelter and move both WhatsApp and Uber into your work profile. That has a number of advantages - keeping them away from your contacts and gives you the ability to suspend all closed source apps with a single click.
Never have I felt as old online.
I flew on it . . twice. Round trip NYC - London and home a week later. BA obviously.
At altitude (60,000 feet) the sky was black, not blue. And for any flat-earth'ers out there . . sorry, but from 60,000 feet you could see the curvature of the earth.
The only interesting physical difference I remember was the difference in acceleration departing JFK vs. departing from Heathrow. Out of JFK you are instantly over the Atlantic, so it accelerated from 0 mph to Mach 2.0 in one continuous push. Whereas departing Heathrow, you are over land until the English channel. So it accelerated down the runway like any other plane, cruised until over water, then it felt like it was taking off a second time, with a much longer acceleration push.
I am employed by a major Tier 1 electronics supplier to multiple car manufactures. Your question has NOTHING to do with EV's - we sell the exact same ADAS components for use in EV's, ICE, and hybrid cars & trucks.
But to answer your question . . . nothing is 100% hacker proof. All modern cars (ICE, EV's, hybrid) cars could be hacked . . and any of them with an advanced ADAS system could be modified as you describe to "frame the driver".
Everything is relative to your prospective.
I worked 10 years for a major EU defense contractor. Mostly on civilian projects, but not exclusively. For many years, I hid my employer from acquaintances & friends - when asked, I would just say "I work in software". After I left that company, one of the anti-tank missile systems I had a very (very) small part developing started to tear the fuck up Russian tanks across Ukrainian farm lands.
I don't hide that history today.
The history is long and ugly, but here's the short version. The Home Office hates the BMA. UK doctors are frequent participants in judicial reviews, tribunal cases and applications for injunctions against the Home Office. Pesky cases like trying to prevent pregnant women being held in isolation at immigration removal centers or forcibly returning previously tortured refugees to the countries that . . . tortured them. The LAST thing the Home Office is going to encourage is more interaction with the BMA or the NHS.
Just think about it . . the Home Office will take the word of your local publican over your GP. In what world is that normal???
His technical chops are without question. However he has been so over the top obnoxious to MANY other leaders in the privacy space. He really hurts his own cause by refusing to acknowledge there are other threat models that can be solved with other answers.
I drive an MGS5 EV - MG is a British brand, but it's manufactured by SAIC Motors. Every bit a Chinese company. I traded a VW ID.4 for it . . and WHAT AN UPGRADE. Better across the board - faster charging, longer real world range, much, MUCH better software . . . all for 25% less than the ID.4.
Jim Farley is right to be terrified . . . Both the American and the German legacy car companies are screwed.
WTF?
Things this castrofuck clown car of a government cannot pay for: junior doctors, nurses, school lunches for hungry children, council homes, roofs for schools, 40 new hospitals, keeping shite out of the rivers . . .
Things it can pay for: 2 largely broken aircraft carriers (but not enough planes for them) . . and new, home built nuclear weapons.
I, for one, am so proud our glorious MoD can defend our food banks with British made nuclear weapons! /s
Myanmar, Syria, Venezuela, Libya and Pakistan are all under one or more forms of US sanctions - yet are on the tariff list. Sorry . . until proven otherwise, there is no other logical explanation for the "friends of Vlad" being excluded except . . . the orange one is also a friend of Vlad.
thanks for using Leebra!
