What a fucking nightmare. And probably just a first step.

It's not needed.

If another law says you have a right to create backups of digital content you own, then two laws are in conflict. Why would dcma have precedence?

No idea about US, but in some countries it would be up to judges, and with enough rulings it would be settled one way or another.

Didn't see that coming. In retrospect, I should have noticed that a long time ago... Thanks for the info

I think EU didn't benefit my country on a lot of points. One big point though is the forces capitalism everywhere; like forcing to open energy selling to competition, leading to dismemberment of previously public sectors to the benefit of private company with absolutely 0 added value

Crap, you're right! I might have assumed otherwise due to the crypto stuff and other controversies. My bad.

Seems that Ireland data protection office can do some work... On non-US companies, at least.

They were always the ones pushing back against fines for GAFAMs.

Still glad about the fine though.

Usong iodéOS, everything went smoothly, no issues so far. At the time I received the FP5, lineage didn't have aa build publicly available, and therefore neither did microG, so I went there. Didn't see a reason to move out yet

I'm confused as to how people can feel safer that their interests are more respected using proprietary software. Did I miss something on why brave would be a good idea?

It's not a belief. Animals being sentient is a fact. Animal agriculture being inefficient and wasteful is a fact. Animal products not being necessary for our survival is a fact.

Now you could argue that killing sentient beings is OK, but then that's a weird moral position. And nevertheless, not a belief

Tesla charging infrastructure is very good in France too. It's good in general as well, but there are a lot of tesla-branded chargers. Quite a lot of Tesla cars as well.
