@lemmy.world

Fan of breaking echo chambers by being devils advocate. Other than that, centrist. As in in USA I'd be considered left.

I expected anything! And still too much xD

The absolute best part of it is...they have one scene. One stage. They require GTX 1060 as minimum. And yet, in my opinion, this still looks like shit graphically. 2004 Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines managed to have better posh ambiance. xD

I find perceiving mods as part of a core game weird as hell. But one thing I think Bethesda could do better was simply versioning. If there is a major, mod breaking update then proceed as planned but create a snapshot of older version and allow people access to it - as Beta version in Steam for example.

But it is silly to think that company shouldn't update their software because of mods.

Doesn't get better later. It's basically maximally passive animal. Which is cool and cute but...not really a pet.

While it might seem strange to you to consider modding essential, this is one of those games with a large number of players who do. That’s just the reality.

And that's exactly why I treat that view as my opinion and nothing more. There are good arguments for both views so...

When Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut automatically updated onto accounts for people who already owned the game, it simply appeared as a new, separate game.

That's also a good way to deal with it, although wasn't it a lot less "meaty" update in Fallout's case? Giving people easy way to rollback would be the best I think. Hell, not only in this case, but overall keeping two snajpshots back for games with heavy mod support could be a good thing.

Yeah, true! For example, I saw heavy ads and 12 years later bought the product! (Because it still existed. In my mind, it had to do something right xD)

Meh, just archaic. In ye olde times it wasn't gay to fuck, it was gay to be fucked. Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, modern times Turkey, etc.

I've read about it and iirc, it's wasn't even official mission. It was just pilots goofing off and dropping a training bomb, without command approval.

I am so confused by the low link lol.

  • "AI haters build tarpits to trap and trick AI (!)" - Ohmy god poor AI :<
  • "...that ignore robots.txt!" - ...oh, so illegal AI...?
  • "Attackers explain-" - YEAH! THE EVIL AGRESSIVE
  • "how anti-spamdefense became an AI weapon" - ...folk trying to defend from spam...?

FFS they try to paint people protecting themselves as evil but are keeping facts too much and it becomes an absolute confusing mess xD

Conflicted.

On one hand, their playground, their rules.

On other, if you don't want to interact with half of community, why not just, dunno...limit visibility? Make it actual safe space?

I am good with anything and do respect their choice, just it's fun to think about.

To be frank tho, not everything is gay and I sure as hell would be grief stricken if my best friend died. The difference is I do not wield as much power as Alexander did. xD

For the love of god wake up people, do you know what little percent of people know about fedi? Services like these jump to where the public is, not drags public behind it. Bluesky made huge jump publicity wise, and that's when it was already more widely known than fedi. Moaning about it doesn't help.

In perfect world, we'd have country-specific instances with all national news and announcments centralised in there, to which people could easily subscribe to. But that even sounds complex to average person, compared to "Hey, Bluesky? Yeah twitter but better".

I am sorry for your loss but, you are not responsible for troubles of others. You tried for a year or two. That's a lot. It seems you went further for that friend than most people would. Sometimes, we are not able to help others, no matter how hard we try.

I know it's not my place to say that but I've seen people I know get hit with the same kind of guilt, slowly but surely tearing at them and I don't really want anyone else to be in this place.

On on hand, yes. On the other...imagine frustration of management of companies making and selling AI services. This is such a sweet thing to imagine.
