And the politicians.

...have they even proven that Luigi did it?

Unless they have, effectively admitting to it seems like a fucking stupid idea to me.

Me too. I don't think he looks enough like the guy at the bank counter(iirc) to be sure they're the same person, and the fact that they only found the gun after taking the backpack back to the station is extremely suspicious.

My conspiracy theory is that, after the near-universal adulation of the killer, they've made Luigi a scapegoat in order to prevent any more killing of wealthy ghouls.

With the obvious caveat that I'm not a lawyer - if Luigi's defence thinks this is the best strategy, then I think the case is as good as lost; he may as well plead guilty and stop wasting the court's time. He won't get any clemency - he (allegedly) killed a wealthy person.

The biggest one I can think of in Football is probably RCD Espanyol vs. FC Barcelona. Even if you don't follow football, you've probably heard of Barcelona - they're one of the top football clubs in the world. You may not have heard of Espanyol, and if you have it's probably as "the other club in Barcelona".

To show how truly one-sided the rivalry is, Espanyol have finished higher than Barcelona on 4 occasions. Barcelona have finished higher than Espanyol 87 times. I don't think you could find a Barcelona supporter who considers Espanyol to be a bigger rival to them than Real Madrid.

I remember being on Reddit some time ago, and in the comments somebody mentioned Linux. The next comment was "What's Linux?"

I try to keep that post in mind whenever I think anything is common knowledge.

If Nintendo has the power to brick your console, then do you truly own it?

This sort of shit needs to be illegal.

Well this thread is an absolute shitshow.

Jellyfin is great, but if you refuse to let yourself understand that Plex's ease of setup for remote access is a point in its favour - especially when sharing with non-tech savvy people - then you're just as bad as the supposed "Plex shills".

Plex is well on the enshittification train, and I've always been a bit concerned about how private it may or may not be, but there's absolutely no way I'd have been able to share a Jellyfin instance with my grandfather, especially as his dementia got worse.

Pretty damn rich coming from the CEO of a website that makes no content of its own.

Is "must make the dumbest fucking decision possible at all times" in the Mozilla CEO job description or something?

I have no CEO experience, but I'll make stupid fucking decisions for a fifth of the salary you're paying the current guy.

After some unfortunate interactions with older coworkers, I've started thinking that so many shitty aspects of our work culture exist because working men wanted an excuse to be away from their wives and children.
