About 20 years ago I was flying from South Spain back to the UK, a 2 hour flight. Bored and looking out the window I see something in the distance reflecting the sun. Within seconds we passed it. It happened very fast.

Given the shape and that it had some colour on the side which I couldn't make out because it happened so fast, I can only assume it was another plane.

It was only hours later that my brain decided how close that was and how nobody said anything about it. I assume the captin must have noticed!

Cost. I can sort of see some logic to it. If you know a significant amount of drones will go down then why not make some easy picks and make them dramatic as possible. Save the good stuff for the wave of drones which count.

The scenographics does hold a big part of it. Normal people seeing something which looks significant might start to see the fight is closer to home than they realise. Kind of like counter propaganda. And it's a lot cheaper too!

Honest question, why do people who are not active call themselves a marine? Let's say you're retired, too old to be in service, would you refer to yourself as being a marine or was once a marine?

I'm free to work 100% remote but I travel to our local site 2 days a week just to be seen and support if needed. I hardly use my car at all these days. I can cycle or walk to the office.

I use my ebike to drop my son at school, get up to the office, then back to school and wfh in the afternoon.

Ebikes really are the future of travel. I can't achieve all of the above on my normal mountain bike in a sensible time frame and with luggage.

Not as severe as this, but I always found it uncomfortable that the patients in medical have no privacy what so ever.

A friend of mine had a cat which had kittens. It was a few weeks when he realised, after watching one try to take a dump and fail, it didn't have an opening for it's anus. He said it was bloated and abdomen was hard. The vet said they had only heard of this and never witnessed it themselves. Thing had to be put down.

It's a movie about a robot from the future which time travelled. And people are questioning the legalities of buying guns in the 80's.
