I know people like this. They truly believe like they are doing society a favor by buying up houses and renting them out. The disconnect from reality is wild.
Serious - Don't follow your passion. I did. Went to school for something I was passionate about. Did well and graduated. I got a job in my field. But soon enough, my passion felt like work. My priorities shifted as I aged and I grew to hate what I studied and once fell passionate about.
Find a career path that makes you money. Once you have that money you can make time to dabble in your passion projects and hobbies. Just wanted to add a different perspective to the meme :)
You can still browse and your comments still remain up. But you can no longer post or comment further. I'll still get upvotes / replies to old comments. I just can't respond
Ford is getting high on his brother’s crack stash again. He pulls this ‘for the people’ act to gain public support. Then once he’s sitting pretty he’ll start doing the bidding for his wealthy friends for kickbacks.
Don’t believe the hype. Ford killed millions of people during Covid. He slashed healthcare and public education and environmental protections while his friends got richer
You can't rationalize with crazy. You gotta beat crazy with crazy.
Is it normal? Yes. Is it healthy? No. I wish I spent my younger years focused on building myself rather than worrying about things out of my control.
Find yourself. Find what motivates you and makes you happy. Learn to be happy on your own. Learn to be confident without the validation from others. As you go through that journey, you'll run into similar like-minded people and maybe some that you're actually attracted to (lol)
It'll happen when you least expect it when you're focused on other priorities. Hope this helps.
Death of a parent and managing their assets.
Just never talked about sickness and death. You always assumed they would be around.
Some cultures and religion make end-of-life stuff really difficult on the kids.
If Trump was elected in the 80s, he wouldn't be alive long enough to change the name plate of the oval office desk. We're living through such a wild time in history.
I pulled the hydrometer out of my cigar humidor to became more aware of the dampness of my basement. I also spent over $1,000 on evicting a family of raccoons out from under my backyard deck. So yeah, I get it HAH
Super Power? LOL bruh, I just want to be cured of my crippling depression and low self-esteem.
But really, healing super powers tho would be cool. Because it seems like a lot of people need healing now, both mentally and physically.
packet ramen noodle with an egg or leftover chicken pieces
shake 'n' bake oven chicken
hotdogs with canned chili and kraft mac 'n' cheese
dehydrated / boxed mashed potato and cheese
I’ve noticed ‘the algorithm’ pushing Russian content through Instagram and Facebook reels. Seemingly unrelated to what I usually browse.
THIS 100%. If I don't get up when my alarm goes off, I'll have less me time before my wife and kid wake up. No time to workout, take a hot shower, run downstairs and enjoy silence.
Processing the death of your parents and how that changes a person. And/or watching your parents cognitive abilities decline.
I wasn’t raised in a loving caring home. So it was incredibly alien to care for my parents as they got older. Helping them get dressed, taking them to appointments. Having tough conversations with them about their end-of-life wishes.
I worked retail all my life. I was so embarrassed. I swore that once I get “a real job” (read: Corporate) I would love it and it would be so much more respected.
Been working Corporate for 20yrs now and I hate it. Soul sucking, dream crushing, energy draining. At least with retail I’d get a little discount. Now all I get is an occasional pizza party 😭😭😭
I spent many years working in retail. I often don't shop in the same places I've worked, especially if I didn't leave on good terms LOL
Salary and time off.
Benefits are great but are limited. I had $1,000 in 'mental health' spending but my therapist nearly doubled their pricing over 3yrs. That $1,000 once got me 10-12 sessions now only got me 6.
I don't see how any of this matters.
He is literally and figuratively above the law. He will face zero consequences.
Rookie numbers. 80 cars is nothing to a billionaire.
The anti-American / pro-Canadian sentiment is huge right now. The switch to EB (Electronic Boutique) will bump sales for sure.
Just think it’s a little ironic that it’s a Quebec company that’s saving it.
