Or even more basically:
- what's good for business is generally not what's good for society.
@lemy.lol
Or even more basically:
How dumb do they think we are? The problem isn’t your supply chain, it’s your record profits raked in by gouging us. Gouging is their new business model.
I’m starting to think these pigs won’t change until we start putting their heads on sticks.
The conservative human centipede keeps doing its thing.
Cool story. Now pay your workers a living wage and get them health benefits.
I hope this brave officer gets the counselling and support he needs to move on from this.
The other 38% is likely consumed in oil and gas camps, the true heartland of Albertan separatism.
Nah, they got kompromat on her. Bribery will get you some baubles but it's too voluntary and you can always get outbid. You gotta get coercive if you really want to own someone's soul.
The Cartels invented that process after our "war on drugs" made it impossible to get pseudo-ephedrine over the counter in drug stores, which was a key ingredient in good ol' fashioned biker meth. Biker meth wasn't a nice drug, but it was afternoon tea compared to the new production methods. The new stuff is much more addictive and it causes permanent changes in the brain. You can get off new meth, but you are never the same... this is a key ingredient in the increasing levels of violence and psychosis amongst street addicts.
Or, maybe it's not (just) distraction. Maybe he is seeding interest amongst the Canadian magatards. Maybe this is designed to give traction to Dani Smith and her ilk, to create division and internal strife.
Maybe Trump and the repubs have been following a playbook for all his Canada talk... maybe Putin's playbook on Ukraine.
About 20% of them want to be. Alberta's Premier, Danielle Smith, is a Trump-loving separatist.
More bald faced lies and doublespeak from chief pig, Per Bank.
They’ve choked out competition so people have little or no choice but to use stores, they have an effective monopoly on their market so face little price competition. They are gouging as hard as they dare, offering “bargains” on their inferior, high-margin fakes and knockoffs. Every item they steal as a knockoff to generously offer us suckers as “value” takes money away from food suppliers, who then have less leverage to negotiate. Per Bank, Loblaws, Safeway, Save-On, all the major grocers play the same piggy game, gleefully gouging both ends of the market and hoarding the loot for there C suite bonuses and institutional shareholders… while throw handfuls of nickels to the retail shareholders to keep them voting the right way and parroting the doublespeak.
It’s a polite oligarchy. Per Bank is a thug in a yellow cardigan, holding a knife to your throat and emptying your pockets while he smiles and tells you how invested he is in bringing you more value.
Rampant and criminal exploitation of the working class that literally threatens their ability to feed their children, while government watches and does nothing - this is a recipe for violence.
I hope Per is setting some bonus money aside for security - history is full of pigs just like him who come to an end with their head on a stick.
I will hand my credit card number over to the charity that gives 5 new copies of a book to any library that has one stolen.
Anyone who is voting for these fascists isn't reading anything and doesn't give a fuck about a platform. They want to see PP gel up his hair, be cruel to minorities on their behalf, and make us over in Trump's image.
I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm. I hope.
Bravo, Americans. What a sad banana republic you have become.
The foreign student program is so fucking rife with exploitation it's ridiculous. It could be cleaned up overnight if we had some real regulation and oversight of the thousands of "business colleges" that exploit them... but then we'd be killing a cash cow, I guess.
Another British Columbian, can confirm we have morons like this here.
And afraid of everyone that doesn't look just like them.
What's this? A little good news out of Alberta???
This may or may not have legal weight, but I think that what this really does is put the forestry companies on notice to expect road blocks or similar action on their territory.
thanks for using Leebra!
