I feel like any company that enforces a dress code today betrays itself as not being a real job. If your job is doing real work that materially benefits people, there's no reason to care about the dress code. If your job is a performative money siphoning scheme then you probably have a dress code that is just as superficial.

Netanyahu literally cannot pull his troops back. Any peace time for Israel means autopsies on the conflict and the whole Israeli government getting charged for war crimes. Governments understand this and it's going to be Western governments stepping aside and withdrawing their money to allow Israel to get flattened by the regional powers. Reading this thread I think the conclusion is that both men and women can consider themselves "perverted" but the bounds of what each consider "too extreme" is so different that they both think that the other side is just too kinky/disgusting.

Edit: or maybe I mean the other way around. People saying "yeah I'm kinky" and someone else going "eh, that's nothing". Two people both thinking two different things are extreme and then learning that mutually, both their extremes are considered tame by the other person.

Eh, I'm an optimist about the future. Not in the idea that the current system will work or anything. But I think humanity generally spirals upward. Maybe I want to skip the next 100 years or so but that's still a pretty long time scale as far as our advancements since the industrial revolution go.
