Dumb take. All it's warning you is that without those, you won't have a way to recover your account it you lose your password or if it's hacked and someone changes it.
@lemmy.world
All the arguments about tipping here are missing the point. The restaurant owner just came up with a bullshit way of raising the prices without showing larger numbers on the menu. That should honestly be illegal.
I have a better idea. Fund the aid to Israel by funding the IRS more, so they can investigate all these Republicans. Should be enough money there to give Ukraine a nice additional package as well.
I plugged into ethernet (as wifi w/captive portal does not work for me). I think clearnet worked but I have no interest in that. Egress Tor traffic was blocked and so was VPN. I’m not interested in editing all my scripts and configs to use clearnet, so the library’s internet is useless to me (unless I bother to try a tor bridge).
Yeah... Trying to bypass their security by using ethernet instead of Wi-Fi to use your own stuff that's being blocked is tantamount to abusing the library's services. Someone should let the IT staff know so they can properly block those services on ethernet as well.
PCIe is extremely flexible. Often times those big 16x slots are actually only wired for 8x or even 4x. The device has to be able to support running on fewer lanes than expected because of stuff like this.
Their network is under provisioned. They sell an apartment building 300mbps connections to all 8 tenants, but only have a 1Gb connection. To make sure that link isn't always saturated, they impose a data cap to make you not want to use the bandwidth you're paying for. On top of that everyone's connection is crippled during hours like the evening when everyone is using it. As a bonus, they can sell you cable TV on top, so you don't hit your data cap watching shows.
I don't know why anyone would lol
Plenty of reasons people choose to keep going to the office. No need to hate on them, but also no need to force the rest of us back either. I work full time remote WFH and personally love it.
thanks for using Leebra!
