@merde "Lit" is broad in OpenStreetMap. The Wiki is enlightening on this (pun intended): "Lights do not need to be purpose-built to lit this specific object". See also the tagging examples and accompanying pictures of bus stops:
- https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:lit
- https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:highway%3Dbus/_stop
@Showroom7561 You could add the emerging #GeoVisio / #Panoramax to the alternatives to Mapillary, KartaView, and Mapillio: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/GeoVisio.
@sic_semper_tyrannis The Wikidata tag should link to the entry about the feature itself, so it will be different for each particular location (so, as most locations won't have a Wikidata entry, no Wikidata tag can be added in OSM). The brand:wikidata refers to the Wikidata entry about the brand, so it's the same for all locations under that brand and all locations can have the tag.
See this location, for example: https://www.openstreetmap.org/...
@Vroomfondel @Eyck_of_denesle Automated building drawing is totally possible and done. It requires an admissible (quality and license wise) source of data and a piece of software. The OSM Belgium documented the tool and process for the Belgian sources of building shapes: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WikiProject/_Belgium/Building/_and/_address/_import. Notice there are rules to automated imports: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Import.
@Mannivu @Cris_Color Indeed. I didn’t expect that… Sorry for the mess.
@sheislaurence You will find tips and directories of Fediverse profiles in this article: https://fedi.tips/.... Following hashtags and exploring who follows / is followed by accounts you find interesting also help find more of what you like.
@Vroomfondel @interdimensionalmeme As pointed, with OsmAnd, CoMaps (https://www.comaps.app/), or similar, you can download maps for offline navigation. No need to self-host OSM itself.
thanks for using Leebra!
