I visited a 17,000 year old cave painting site in France, and the whole walk into the cave there are modern day graffiti signatures like "Bob, 1992" etc. but then you start to notice that the years go back further and further...1827...1761...1597. Then you get to the old cave art and it kind of feels like a continuation of the same shit, just some people leaving their scribbles on a rock like they have been probably since they discovered how to do it.

From the comments I think people aren't getting the joke that the left is a female character and the right is a male character.

I recently visited a church with a painting of John the Baptist and Jesus and, well...

the only ones that need to be worried right now are Iranians that think they're gonna live.

In case anyone is interested, I made some videos to help explain both Kropotkin and Bookchin:

1. Our Riches – The Conquest of Bread: Chapter I [rap version]
2. Murray Bookchin's philosophy summarized as a rap with citations

The image is misleading, but the CPC itself acknowledged at least 241 deaths. Also, you cannot find information about the incident while in China. Can personally confirm.

It has more features, and most people don't know why Mastadon might be better. The average person doesn't even know what a server is.

I don't understand why people frame hiking challenges as conquering nature. It's clearly conquering your own internal limitations, not anything external. But framing aside, challenging yourself is a great thing to do.

Easy solution: just make products for owners of other such companies

Do any genuine DPRK defenders have sources or statistics to help me break my brainwashing or whatever because all I have ever seen are reasons to oppose and people saying yeah but what if that's not actually true.

Between 1995 and 2021, on average, US companies spent 78 percent of their net income on paying shareholders https://www.mckinsey.com/...

I find that if I just eat less, I start to feel sickly and unhealthy. I learned recently that when you lose weight, like 25% of it ends up being from muscle loss. Started lifting weights and eating extra protein while I diet, and it feels great, much easier. I feel energetic and healthy and the lack of food doesn't bother me so much.

I don't know, can you make them out?

Ken M tweets are honorary memes

Are you doing that on Lemmy? In what communities?

It's possible that there are multiple consciousnesses within a single person, and when each of them reads this post, they all think it refers to them. "You" are just one of the consciousnesses, thinking you are the main one. Or maybe you think it refers to you, but another consciousness in the same body is aware of itself as well as you and laughing at your ignorance.

I don't run Lemmy nor am I a tankie, although the creators are Marxist-Leninists, I believe. My youtube channel is mainly anarchist stuff. If you're offended by the Communist Manifesto, maybe you should give it a listen, you might find you were offended by the wrong things.

Elon was named after a town in a scifi book written by a Nazi rocket scientist recruited through Operation Paperclip https://www.mind-war.com/... It is weird that people don't mention this more.

I'm pretty sure Bluesky has hashtags. Subscribing to a hashtag and muting someone temporarily is nice. I think the main feature Mastadon is missing is discovery algorithms. Most people use that heavily on social media, whether they admit they value it or not.
