All according to plan. And the majority in Kansas and Missouri will blame everyone else. Certainly can't be the outcome of their own actions.

I'd like to add to this, you might want to look into building your own guerilla infrastructure. Especially for said community. It will add some expense but also security and autonomy. Ali express is selling halow modules which can service kilometer links at a few megabytes under the right conditions. Not blazing, but usable and private. A mesh saturated with such modules could be fairly usable. Be careful on public networks.

There's two types of libertarians. Noun Libertarians and actual libertarians. Just like the two types of communists. If you were to name your dog Libertarian would they be Libertarian? Yes. But would they be libertarian? That depends. There are a number of key things that someone would need to embrace in order to be considered libertarian. Something that most who call themselves Libertarian fail.

Then it also doesn't help that most actual libertarians have largely abandoned the term in general company. Usually self identifying as anarchist. Which isn't helped by the fact that there are oxymorons claming to be anarchist capitalists. Which is just basic capitalists.

If you want to figure out if someone is or isn't quickly. There is one rather easy test you can perform. Simply ask them what their opinion of private property is. If they extol its virtues and try to sell it to you. They are not libertarians or anarchists. Any system that would allow an individual to own more houses than they could ever actually live in, in a lifetime. While people go unhoused and starving. Something which can only be perpetuated by force and violation of consent. A basic violation of principles. And if you're curious what other option there is. Look at the discussion of personal property vs private property.

When a libertarian/anarchist calls taxes theft. It isn't because they don't want to contribute to the community. Often far from. It's that it's collected under threat of force by the state. To be put to their pet projects. Ie sports stadiums or subsidizing exploitative private businesses, even wars. All of which represent actual very real theft from the community in a literal sense. Not the actual support of the community. Securing food, housing, education, healthcare etc for the community. And by the same token private property is also an enduring type of theft.

I agree but op is on ML. Which again says nothing about op. So it could be that a community is blacklisted or not synchronized.

This is always the problem with runaway states. Small stupid by individuals can lead to hardships. Big stupid by unanswerable states leads to catastrophe and atrocity. And this wasn't even the only way Mao made the famine worse.

Well previously it was the fact that it was very AMD centric. Linux can easily support anything of course. But for something that you just want to install and work. Steam OS was made with AMD in mind. You could get Nvidia to work with enough faphing about. But it was discouraged and not default. Enabling it by default could theoretically be less work for Valve. And a value add for the software as a whole.

Before this, said YouTubers were right. It wasn't designed for General use and would cause a lot of problems for people just trying to get into it. Valve changing their support absolutely will change all of this. But it was never guaranteed.

Yes I got my parents moved over in the last couple of years as well. Overall there have been basically no issues with Linux itself. I used to get calls all the time why isn't the Wi-Fi working. Why isn't the printer working. Windows is asking me if I want blank do I want blank? The only calls I get now is why is the printer such a piece of shit? To which we jokingly both respond because printers are designed to be pieces of shit and modern-day torture devices.

Fortunately they don't fall in the general category of people Reliance on any sort of proprietary software. They just want to watch Netflix browse websites and check email generally. So they were easy to cover.

The discussion inside that thread was quite amusing too.

But akshually they weren't "that" type of camp.

Motherfucker, what has the type got anything to do with it? If it wasn't a summer camp that everyone consented being in. Then fuck yo camp.

Consent, if you consent to live by certain rules and restrictions. That's your bag, and it's fine. The moment you decide that you must force others to participate is the moment it becomes an issue.

This was something that was well known even when she was just a local Hawaiian politician. The fact that the still qualifies for news decades later in 2026. Is truly sad.

Even if this is true. It wouldn't help the US. So I find your focus a little weird. This is just States doing stupid State things.

A segment certainly is. Of all the channels that I generally keep tabs on. Only one that I don't view very often has ever used AI generated thumbnails to my knowledge. Every other single one is just doing basic thumbnails or standard YouTuber thumbnails. But nothing AI. If I see a video that's largely just random Clips strung together with a sus voice. I'm thumbs-downing and leaving immediately.

Family is a different story. Most of them I believe generally do the same. My father regularly gets sucked into one AI video or another. Though he's kind of cutting back on it. Seeing as any time one of us is around. We pick up instantly on AI voice stutters mispronunciations or ridiculous bullshit in the AI generated videos. Instantly laughing and ridiculing them. He had one on recently talking about folk Legends of indigenous peoples of the americas. And at one point they were talking about a tribes cat-man mythos. When the AI video cut to an interior scene that look like it was in a museum. And in the museum there was a bust in a glass case. And on the bus was a cow that looked exactly like Batman's only it had a few sketchy Native American looking motifs sort of plastered in places. But it was a literal fucking Batman cowl. We just about died laughing.

When everything you do is in service to an economy and not the people. Your praxis is the problem for sure. Though these groups would vehemently deny their similarities. It's the inevitable outcome. When autonomy, liberty, and freedom become optional. They became obstacles.

Don't be "left" to be left. Be what you and your community needs. Which generally aligns with the left. But can still diverge. It's a lesson their kind sorely needs to learn before they destroy their communities and many more.
