Rescue Dukat, obviously.* One careless mistake should not erase his ceaseless dedication to the citizens of the quadrant.

*

This is definitely not Gul Dukat's alt account. Why would you ask that?

I plan to operate on expired certificates for two to four years, forcing all three of my users to click past a terrible warning.

Then I will automate my six day certificate rotation with Ansible (officially), but maybe actually with a stupid bash script in CRON (unofficially).

Rock on!

Edit: What I mean is - thanks for sharing, and I respect your efforts.

The real value is in the agility needed to update certs every six days.

Six days is still too long to leave a compromised key in play, but anyone who can rotate their keys every six days can probably also rotate their keys quite quickly if there's a comprise.

Let's be sure to name and shame, for anyone who missed it: Georgia and Florida.

Company is - you guessed it - Flock. (Mention of Flock in the article has been removed with a correction.)

Luckily for the billionaires they don't own any homes, their homes are part of a complex companies, or some bullshit.

I like this better.

The threaded conversations allow a useful interesting discussion to continue, even after some random person's comment derails half the participants.

I have good news!?

...This isn't a particularly gendered problem.

About fucking time.

Citizen's United (and similar corruption) took away our ability to regulate tech billionaires, but we still out number them.

If they want to stop being scared, they can curb their parasitic behaviors and return the billions they have extracted.

Edit: Getting off of the list of the world's billionaires is a path filled with fancy meals, accolades, ribbon cutting ceremonies, and thank-you letters from happier children.

Billionaires have a moral obligation to a cushy job (become non-billionares), and they aren't doing it, today.

Many firms are now slashing their number of new hires.

Yes. This sucks.

The main cause of this is artificial intelligence

Unlikely.

The main cause for a chill in hiring tends to be uncertainty about the future. And we know that folks are feeling high uncertainty about the future, right now. (Gestures broadly at current headlines in general and "Not The Onion", in particular.)

Historically, uncertainty about the future is particularly high when the people have low confidence that existing and new laws will be applied in a predictable manner.

I'll leave exactly what changed on that front as a thought exercise.

AI is interesting, but it is not the primary cause of the chill in hiring new graduates.

Microsoft has yet to explain how or why the lapse occurred.

Highly skilled technical staff are expensive, and it turns out that some people still use Windows when Microsoft doesn't hire the talent necessary to keep Windows working.

Edit: Also, bribes from three letter government agencies are probably pretty nice.

A little more time and a lot more money. But the savings will be huge. The savings will make the current era of extravagant burning piles of money look like a sound investment. You'll be glad you got in on the ground floor...

We do need a little more time, though. And money.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be buying one at the first opportunity.

My other action figures are going to have to stand in the shadow of the glory of "it's just Jack Black, I guess".

(No sarcasm. I'm really going to buy this. I love the idea of Jack Black just playing "Jack Black".)

So France is now openly pro-tifa. What's that short for again? Oh. Right. Fascist.

Holy shit. I'm glad I don't need anything in France.
