Burning a Quran because you hate Muslims is bigoted but burning a Quran (or any holy text) because the priestly class is how the ruling class maintains control over the working class in almost every society and religion is tool of oppression is a chad move.
The bacon thing is a dead giveaway that this is bigotry.
Christians are almost always been selective about what parts of the bible they believe (or even bother to read) and this is an easy example. The bible makes very clear that the date the world ends will be known to none but god. There won't be a warning from angels and humans won't be able to figure out in advance. There could be signs it's coming that people pick up on but someone saying "it'll be this day on this month" will always be a lie. That aside, why would a Christian who thinks the world is gonna end sell anything? What will you do with that money in Heaven?
Turns out that having the legislature operate via a Gentleman's Agreement that assumes good faith behavior and concentrates power in the hands of a small number of people was really bad for Freedom, Liberty, and Democracy.

People are pissed about whats going on in this country but they either don't see what they can do about it, live in denial about it, or are unwilling to make the sacrifices required. So when an easy way to fight back it presented itself, people took it.
They decapitated an effigy of Elon Musk on stage (as Gwar does) after which the neck sprayed fake blood all over the crowd (as is standard with Gwar) and people were screeching like they "crossed the line".
Good for them. Learning to defy the powers that be when they try to normalize immoral/unethical beliefs is a mark of becoming a responsible adult; something lacking in University Administrations apparently.
Cool but have those countries ended trade with Israel? Declared sanctions? Sent military aid to the PLO? Establish a no-fly zone? I'm glad this happened, its a start, but it's not enough and Gaza is running out of time.
There are a huge number of country bumpkins that saw Portland on the TV during 2020 and assumed/were mislead into believing the whole city burned down and it's just a smoldering wasteland now. The actual problems were in a relatively small area downtown; most of Portland was unaffected.
Important to note that recycling some things makes sense, like metal. And recycling glass makes sense but sanitizing and reusing bottles makes alot more sense. There's also been a push to compost as much paper product as possible since that makes way more sense than recycling paper. Our green bins now take any brown cardboard with no tape and pizza boxes.
Unless you have a large organization backing it or a very popular public figure calling for it in a moment of high public anger, all these General Strike efforts are a lost cause. That having been said, unionize or join a large organization so we can actually have a General Strike.
