The thing is, there’s no public smoking gun evidence that would put him away for a long time. I think the fact that the unredacted Epstein files haven’t been released means that the evidence does exist, and the oligarchs are using that to manipulate policy. It’s likely policy that Trump himself already wants because he can profit off of it, but I do think there is kompromat out there that is being used.

Israel is used as a destabilizing presence in the ME to prevent the region from uniting against Western imperialism. The point is not to use Israel as a staging ground for direct US action, but to allow it to do its thing so that the region is focused on the immediate threat of Israel and less able to respond to US soft power threats.

“Let us extract your resources, or we will allow Israel to assassinate your leaders and bomb your schools.”

Correct, China is socialist, the intermediary step between the capitalist mode of production and the communist mode of production.

And it turns out, it is impossible to have democratized politics unless the economy is also democratized.

Ironic how you call out anti-immigrant fear mongering, then write an entire Sinophobic conspiracy post.

This is the real reason why Palestine Action was proscribed as a terrorist organization. They caused millions in damages to Elbit systems and other infrastructure that supports the genocide, effectively shutting down several weapons facilities and forcing Barclays Bank to divest from Elbit. They were extremely effective, and the UK government couldn’t handle that heat.

Ironic how you call out how socialism and communism have been misrepresented and lied about, then immediately leap to defend the capitalist narrative around socialist leaders.

I don’t blame you though, our society has done a fantastic job of making up a narrative that socialists are the same as fascists, and conditioning people to ostracize anyone who questions that narrative, even though the actual historical evidence does not support it.

Well now you’re moving the goalposts. At first you were just complaining that this step in the right direction is useless.

Dang, I guess they shouldn't have made this law then, huh? What a waste of time trying to create the legislative framework to improve things when obviously its futile to try to improve things. We should just accept that things are currently bad, and that they'll never get better, right?

Homegrown capitalists and the states they control are far more profligate and effective at social media manipulation than either Russia or China. Don’t forget that it was Facebook and Cambridge Analytica that made Brexit happen, not Russia or China. Although I guess you did say dictatorships, so that includes the dictatorship of capital that rules the west.

Capitalism is not synonymous with markets. Humans have exchanged commodities with other humans long before capitalism began, and will do so for long after capitalism ends. Capitalism is literally just a specific mode of production where the means of production are owned by individuals.

As long as private ownership of the economy is allowed, there will be money in politics. The actual permanent solution is to communalize the economy so that it benefits everyone, instead of just a few rich people who did nothing to deserve it.

Far right movements are usually started by the domestic bourgeoisie in an attempt to counter rising class consciousness and left-wing solidarity. It’s certainly possible that Russia is amplifying those voices, but the root of the problem is, as always, the aristocracy.

They are doing this because Palestine Action has been incredibly effective. They have already forced the closure of two factories in England that produce arms for Israeli defense company Elbit and forced Barclays Bank to divest through sustained sabotage campaigns. No person has been hurt by their actions, yet these actions have cost the genocide supporters millions of pounds and caused months-long disruptions to the production of weapons used in ethnic clean songs around the globe (Elbit weapons are fueling not just the Palestine ethnic cleaning, but Kashmir and DRC, too).

You legitimize ICE by using the terminology of actual law enforcement. They didn’t “detain” him, they assaulted and kidnapped him.

I hate how the term Luddite has been co-opted as a blanket term for someone who rejects technology for any reason. The original Luddites were a labor movement who were angry that technology was taking people’s livelihoods while society was doing nothing to prevent those people from becoming destitute.

Kinda exactly how AI is going to fuck over a lot of people while primarily benefiting the rich people who own it.

Every single assisted living facility in the United States would do the same thing. They are businesses designed to strip every last bit of wealth before we die, they do not give a shit about their residents customers.
