Just started showing Brooklyn 99 to my girlfriend. We're only on season 2 now but she loves it and always cracks up at his delivery. He played Raymond Holt perfectly and made him one of my favorite characters on the show.

61 is too young. RIP

Felt it in Tokyo. Slight shaking for about half a minute. I can't imagine what it's like in Ishikawa now

I feel like the Steam sales stopped being good a few years ago. I think when they stopped doing flash sales? Now most games are just regular sale price off. No real special deals anymore.

I miss checking daily for new updates on what was for sale and getting a game at a really good price. Now everything is the same price for the entire two weeks so it feels exciting for maybe the first 5 minutes when you check your wishlist and after that it's done.

Don't want to be too negative though. Hope there are some good deals and everyone can grab something at a good price!

Dragon Ball was the first manga I read. I still own every volume of the original series and Z that I bought when I was a kid. It probably took me a year or two to collect and save up for each one. I read the series so many times when I was a kid and played every single game of it that I could get my hands on. The anime wasn't on tv where I grew up so that was the only way for me to experience it. I was absolutely addicted to the series. It's probably one of the most formative pieces of media in my life and shaped who I am today.

Introducing friends to Dragon Ball, pretending to be Goku or Vegeta with my friends and not so pretend fighting, reading it on long car journeys, buying Dragon Quest because it looked like Dragon Ball and so many more. Thank you Toriyama for all of those memories.

I would say 99.9% of people are still on Reddit. I mainly use Lemmy to get the bigger news stuff and the gaming community is pretty active here too. Also I use Lemmy on mobile only really since the Reddit app is still terrible.

If I want to read about one of my other interests I'll go to the specific subreddit on my desktop browser and use old Reddit but with no account since I deleted mine a few months ago. Sometimes I'll post or comment on one of those smaller communities here but I don't want to be someone who posts tons of things to a community. Too much work for me.

Hopefully the user base and engagement will grow over the next few years. Welcome to being an early adopter!

Man, I want to get back into this game but just don't have enough free time anymore... Glad I finished Endwalker though. At least that's given me a bit of closure

I'm not really a fan of what's being done with LOTR now. I think we'll keep seeing more games set in this universe since Christopher Tolkien has passed away. I'm sure some will be good but based off Gollum we're also going to get absolutely terrible things that are just a quick cash grab with the LOTR name attached.

Gonna wait to play this till the definitive edition is out. Learned my lesson with Persona 5 and Royal.

Based on the article he called them out after they didn't show support for Palestine at the end of the show. The comedian also is from Belfast which explains why he has such a strong opinion on this.

I would hope that any Israeli citizen is against the genocide that their government is doing and would show support to stop people being killed. If they disagree publicly in an open place like this I'd expect them to be called out on it.

Love this trailer. It gives off a pretty chill vibe and will hopefully give the scions a much needed break after Endwalker.

Though personally I thought Endwalker was a good stopping point I get that this is an mmo so there can never really be an end. I'm pretty sure even FFXI is still getting new content!

Ah, so the company that makes money off free child labour is now going to try the same thing with young adults? Surely nothing can go wrong here...

I'm looking forward to and dreading this at the same time. I really enjoyed Elden Ring but eventually got burnt out playing it after Leyndell and just started googling what I'd missed and doing it before finishing the game.

I hope this dlc is more focused and not another 150 hours of content. I'd be more than happy with 20 - 30. Also show us Miquella!

This will be a day 1 purchase for me once it's out of early access. I loved the first one but still don't plan on playing the game until it's done. So hopefully 2025 will be when it releases for me!

I tried Destiny 2 when it went free to play with some friends and none of us had a clue what was going on. Just go do these missions with minimal story reasons or explanation.

We got through the first area and to the main hub but it just seemed boring. Played a bit more after that but saw no improvements in the second area when it came to missions or story. I'm not sure why someone new would ever play this game?

The last one I properly played was Revelations and I couldn't even finish it. You can only do the same thing so many times before it gets stale and loses all its charm. I tried black flag but was so sick of the AC formula that I ended up refunding it after an hour.

Now they all seem like the definition of mid. I've seen videos of Valhalla and it looks like a Witcher 3 clone with none of the interesting characters or good writing.

This series needs a long break before I'd ever consider buying one again. I guess it keeps selling well every year though so...

Just seeing this now. Absolutely crazy. Seems like it's a group using the attack as a "protest" since the attacker was a naturalized Irish citizen. Complete scumbags

If this doesn't get more Garda presence in Dublin I don't know what will

I hope Oda enjoys the break. He deserves it

So incredibly young. As someone who's watched Friends so many times on repeat seeing one of the main cast die is unbelievable.

It's a reminder to live your life to the fullest since we never know when our time can come.

I use Mlem. It's an open source app that's native for iOS. I'd recommend it !mlemapp@lemmy.ml

The voice in this killed me haha
