And those customers shouldn't have been dressed like that!
@lemmy.world
You make it sound like all older people knew. I work in IT and most users, regardless of age, do not know anything about computers. They don't know how to navigate file systems, they don't know where they saved anything, they don't even know what the recycle bin is sometimes.
I once had a user plug a power strip into itself and then didn't understand why there was no power.
Hell, they don't even know how to read. I lost track of how many times I had this conversation:
"There's an error message on my screen."
"What does it say?"
"I don't know."
Good. They should try to get the death penalty which will put the jury under the maximum pressure to nullify.
I wonder if some of the legal fund can be used for public service announcements to educate the public on jury nullification. IIRC judges don't like to hear that kinda talk in court.
Credit cards are fine for people who can control their spending. I never pay interest, so I get my rewards for free and am building my credit. If you cannot control your spending habits, you might consider a card with a low limit.
It's pretty simple. Because we are all so spoiled and entitled that we won't even consider NOT buying their shit anymore. It's the same reason the video game market has grown rampant with micro transactions. They keep pushing the boundaries, and we keep giving them our money regardless of what they do. I'm actually curious to see how far they can push this insanity. They already slap a new year on sports titles every year and somehow sell the same game to the same people annually.
PUT YOUR WALLET DOWN.
Because of course the government uses SQL. It's as stupid as saying the government doesn't use electricity or something equally stupid. The government is myriad agencies running myriad programs on myriad hardware with myriad people. My damned computers at home are using at least 2-3 SQL databases for some of the programs I run.
SQL is damn near everywhere where data sets are found.
I mean, he may be right that it'll hurt the box office to polarize the public, but Superman is as much an illegal alien as you can get.
Come to think of it, what is the story regarding his birth certificate, citizenship etc? Did Ma and Pa Kent claim a home birth and get him documented?
Heemeyer held various grudges against town officials, neighbors of his muffler shop, the local press, and other Granby residents. Over about eighteen months, Heemeyer secretly armored a Komatsu D355A bulldozer with layers of steel and concrete.
On Friday, June 4, 2004, Heemeyer used the bulldozer to demolish the Granby town hall, the house of a former mayor, and several other buildings. He killed himself after the bulldozer became stuck in a hardware store he was destroying. No one else was injured or killed.
I'm on the left, never been anti gun but never owned a firearm till this gestapo crap started. I do not recognize the authority of ICE to question me, as a born US citizen I am not required to carry proof of citizenship. They come to my front door I'm not opening it and if they break my door down they'll have my Beretta 1301 answering. I'd rather die in a firefight and taking some scum down with me than getting disappeared to some foreign prison because I had the audacity to be born brown.
