Reddit is just a Karen now
@lemmy.pt
Maybe because he's not "American" and comes from a country with regulations like the rest of the world, and people care when they vote to make things work.
And like most of the rest of the world, there are more than two political parties, and is not a drama show.
Are they?
Teddit uses his own "Unofficial API" for scrapping.
I've posted here a list of Reddit apps that will continue to work https://lemmy.ml/comment/1054018
If now is struggling then on June 12 will be a nightmare.
Reddit will go dark in protest, many messages to join Lemmy, most instances will be overloaded or even DDoS with so many users, like what happen with Mastodon.
Lemmy say that uses AGPL, so any changes to the code must be publicly available.

There was any research made for this video?
Cleary there wasn't.
I know, im from Europe.
The drama is not compared to USA, we don't vote on celebrities.
In my country we even have a party for the animals and climate, so when USA still trying to vote for basic rights, we already ahead and vote for animal rights and more climate change.
It was, Reddit was opensource, but they change that
Not only that but for each video on YouTube there are different versions for each resolution. So if you upload a 1080p video, it gets converted to 1080p AVC/VP9, 720p AVC/VP9, 480p... also for the audio.
If you run youtube-dl -F <youtube url> you will see different formats.
Hope not, instances should block Threads instead.
Meta/Facebook could use that to harvest more data, and Meta isn't known for privacy.
And Thread trolls spamming the fediverse also not a good ideia.
ImgurViewer, works with Imgur and many other sites.

F-Droid: https://f-droid.org/...

I use it for some years, opens almost everything that's not supported by some apps.
For now lemmy or the website on browser are the best option, but there's some in development like Thunder

https://lemmy.world/c/thunder_app
Other Reddit developers (RedReader, Infinity) said they are willing to make their apps work with Lemmy, but will take some time
