First off, love this question!
Active listening and validating someone's emotions. Relationship skills in general honestly! Like how to adress the core attachment need in a disagreement instead of just the surface issue.

This one honestly got me at first đ
How you gonna pay for those drugs without a job bro??
Use Signal instead and donate what you can per month! I'd much rather support them than Meta
I freakin love this website so much. It's been a really tough week and I just laughed out loud at a minimum of 12 posts in a row.
Sounds silly to say about memes but thank you genuinely everyone who's posting on Lemmy â¤ď¸
LOL that's a new one!
Thanks I hate it
I believe there is only one in the whole country
Oh man I'm still not over that. Such a stupid decision on Reddit's part.
People generally assume stay at home parents only choose that if their spouses make a lot of money, that they are bored or unsatisfied with their life, and that it's a job that is very hard and not much fun.
Obviously I don't speak for SAHPs and maybe these things do apply to some, but my life is freakin awesome! We choose to live very simply and frugally on a single below average income and it is completely worth it every single day for us.
I have so much control over my own schedule, I can't get enough of spending time with my kid and have so much fun with them, I have more time for my own interests, self care or friendships when my spouse can take over at times after work, we get fun family time all together almost every day because we don't have to spend all evening cooking and cleaning (plus our schedule is more flexible), and this is the only job where everything I do all day long directly benefits myself and my loved ones (beyond financial support).
There is genuinely nothing in the world I would trade for this. But man do I get tired of the negative comments from nearly everyone who finds out what I do.
I would say this about the stock market
Joan Is Awful coming soon to a reality near you
I've never in my life been comfortable with anyone seeing me on a bikini, no matter how good I feel about my body. The "difference" between that and underwear or virtual nudity never permeated my brain đ
Basically I think it's weird that they're treated so culturally different and don't feel comfortable in them myself, but also support the choice of whatever bathing suits people prefer or nudity in designated areas
In case someone doesn't already know about it, the charity "Give Directly" tries to find the world's poorest people and gives them lump sums of money. Not as a loan. They recognize how hard it can be for people in that level of poverty to pay back money, and it also eliminates a lot of the issues that material based charities can inadvertently cause on local economies!
They're my number one favorite charity now, but I didn't know they existed till a few years ago so I'm trying to spread the word!
Ugg I love trans inclusion and want to celebrate this but I honestly hate this company and their shows and advertising; among the many issues they demean women so I feel like I'd be celebrating trans women being demeaned.
All that said, maybe this will make it more likely for them to be accepted in other spaces? Which would be very uplifting!
Oh my stars... It doesn't get much more horrible than that. Until you read they bombed refugee camps đ
I wish all platforms had this level of transparency!
Literally though!! There's zero money in our budget for recreation, including streaming services or eating out. That's what happens when your housing costs go up 500 a month and your income doesn't đ¤Ş
