I'm more amazed he hasn't thrown Isreal under the bus already. He hasn't had an issue with throwing people under the bus before, and yet somehow Israel perseveres despite Iran publicly humiliating him for months.

Makes you wonder what kind of dirt Isreal has on him.

All you're saying is that they should get even more support than they currently have because despite being small they've had a noticeable (and good) impact on American politics.

Nah, fuck the DNC. The current failures of the democratic party are specifically because of the DNC. They're more interested in serving corporations than the people who vote for them.

Bro, you're literally making the arguments SKG would accept while being "it's asking the wrong thing". The core of what SKG was asking is that if the company stops official support for the game the game should stay at a playable state. It's not making any demands on how those games should stay playable. It's even very open about what constitutes as "playable". For example if PUBG support ended if you'd be able to start a match alone without anyone to play with that would be enough to be "playable". Even if there's no actual game to play as long as you could load into the world it would be enough for SKG.

A near perfect solution for SKG would be exactly your point. Games should come with community servers or whatever infrastructure (software-wise) is necessary to keep the game running. If the publisher wants to shut down their own servers that's fine, fans would just boot up their own servers and there would be nothing to C&D for the publisher because they gave the server software as an EOL plan. But SKG didn't explicitly demand that because corporations would instantly go "That's too far. It's too unreasonable of a claim to force us to give out our proprietary software." The "how" was left deliberately open so that the gaming industry would give anything, even an inch, to preserve games and they couldn't even give that.

Lukashenko literally wants to be a colonel in the Russian army. If Russia was winning he'd be parading how much he helped the war effort. The only reason he's going through these theatrics now is because Russia isn't doing well and he needs to save face so Ukraine wouldn't drag Belarus into the peace talks and have them also pay reparations. If that happens I imagine that's also the end of him, the people will revolt and this time daddy Putin doesn't have the resources to save him.

AS far as I'm concerned you have not addressed a single thing I've said (except the some games do, which again you did not explain at all so I don't think that counts either) so my arguments stand as they are. Just because you're incapable of having a real discussion doesn't mean you've won. And the fact that you think there's anything to win shows you're nothing more than a debate pervert. You make up your own rules and then claim you've won so go parade your win and let the adults speak.

You currently don’t have access to infrastructure software because you didn’t buy that. You bought a game that uses it.

Well, depending on the game I do. Some games come with server binaries that let me run my own server and regardless of what the developer or publisher does in the future I can still play those games. And once again, that could be the solution to the SKG movement wants solved. Maybe all games should come with the infrastructure software.

Given your BMW mention, if you buy a car, do you own the road it operates on? No. Well, maybe that’s separate right? BMW doesn’t own that road, so what about the factory it was made? Do you own that? No. I have an Amazon account. Do I own AWS infrastructure code? I mean I paid for that, right? No.

It’s not that laws can’t be changed, nobody made that argument. It’s about feasibility. Is it feasible for me and justified for me to own AWS infra because I paid for an Amazon account? No.

Ookay, I'm not even going to bother trying to decipher whatever the fuck this is. Either try again or don't bother me with this again.

Do you understand the difference between the law as it currently is and wanting to change the law to be something else? Because you're arguing that the law is what it is and everyone else is arguing that the laws should be changed because what currently is is fucking ass.

Currently we don't access to whatever infra software companies run to keep the games working. One of the possible solutions to what SKG wants is that when you buy the game you also essentially get the server software as well so that if the company decides to pull the plug you just go "cool. I'll get my own hardware and run it myself".

And would you defend the same shit when it came to physical goods? Let's say a car came with a software solution that makes the car ring home to make sure you're allowed to turn your car on. Your argument in essence is that this is fine because you own the car and the fact that you can't turn on the car once the car manufacturer shuts down their service is completely fine. Would you be happy with a car that the manufacturer can permanently disable whenever they want? This goes back your previous IP argument as well. The old car model is competing with the new car model so to keep your arguments consistent you should be in favor of having your car be permanently disabled because a new model came out.

In case you want an actual example of something similar, do you think the people who got outraged by BMW introducing a subscription service for heated seats were stupid? After all there are no laws that prevent BMW from doing this so people should just suck it up. Or are you're going to argue people should push back if they think it's a stupid idea. In that case what the fuck do you think we're doing right now?

I was going to dispute his bullshit but then I found this gem:

And it would generate in the style of that, all consistent with the artistry, you know, the style, the intent of the artist. And so all of that is done for the artist, so that they can create something that is more beautiful, but still in the style that they want.

Dude is literally saying AI will do a better job at creating art than the artist. Talk about being tone-deaf. The future of artistry isn't a fucking etch a sketch and prompt engineering you fucking donkey.

So they didn't release all the files, they removed released files related to Trump and they added fake files into the release? That's some next level incompetence.

So when are Americans finally going to start protesting? If you're not going to protest having a child rapist in the office at least protest about the incompetence of the government. The government should do a better job at giving you a believable story to stick your head in the sand.

Excuse me but what the fuck? I can somehow rationalize the US wanting some additional security for their athletes. It's weird but America is weird so whatever. But what part of fucking IMMIGRATION AND CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT agency indicates "we do operations on foreign soil"? Considering the level of their training they're probably the biggest threat at the Olympics.

This will never be widely accepted in the gaming space because it's not a game. The model only generates an interactive world, not a game world. It's effectively a glorified AI prompted showroom. It's useless as a development tool because nothing it generates is usable in the traditional development process which means the model would have to create the whole game but the model is incapable of understanding what a game is.

Pretty much. OpenAI will "give" AMD 78bln for 10% of the stock and the chips openAI actually wants. This whole ordeal has been publicly paraded like OpenAI and AMD partnering up, which has already pumped up AMD stock price by 45%. Thus openAI will eventually get their 78bln (which they actually never had in the first place) back in AMD stock.

So who actually pays the 78bln? The simple answer is AMD stock holders, currently the ones who have bought the stock after the announcement and later the ones who bought it before it crashed. The more complex answer is that the stock market at this point is just a speculative mess where numbers are made up because the price isn't dictated by what the company is currently capable of doing but rather what the company potentially could be doing in the future. Who knows who is actually paying for it because AMD stocks will get used elsewhere (for example as collateral in a loan) and the economic growth with absorb the costs. In short, we might as well imagine nobody paid for the chips.

In short, brace for another "once in a lifetime" economic crash.

Everything about windows is misleading. There are windows settings that require doing some sort of an windows inception where you open one settings to go deeper into an older version of the same settings to go deeper into an even older version of the same settings until you reach something that was designed for Windows 98 and actually works. With every newer windows version the settings become only more and more convoluted. Thank god I've switched to Linux as my daily driver.

I'm starting to believe the average conservative is just that stupid. They can't connect the dots on their own and they can't tell the truth from lies. If you tell them A -> B and B -> C they won't come to A -> C. You have to explicitly show them A -> C for them to see that. And that works only if there's nobody else (like Trump) telling them A can't lead to C.

I can imagine her justifying supporting Trump because Trump said he had nothing to do with the kids stuff. We've known for years but for her all it takes is Trump saying he didn't do it and in her eyes we're wrong.

When I first heard about the firings and the delay to the game I thought "This doesn't sound plausible. Are they really going to ruin their investment and effectively kill the company to supposedly save a quarter of a billion. That would be unbelievably stupid". But with every subsequent nugget of information it's getting increasingly clearer that they, Krafton, actually are unbelievably stupid. They're pretty much guaranteed that if Subnautica 2 gets released (and that's assuming Subnautica 2 is in a good enough position to be released) the studio will shutter as all the talent will move on and all the money Krafton spent acquiring the studio is thrown in the wind. They're not even going to save the quarter billion because the delay means they're going to be paying at least 6 months wages for minimum effort work because I doubt anyone at that studio is willing to put in the effort after being cheated out of their bonus.

Even if it's all so obvious I still find it hard to believe the publisher is THAT stupid. But that's the world we live in, where people get to make idiotic decisions because they're greedy as fuck.
