I don't think I've had a single crash apart from when clicking on a lemmy link

It's a shame healthy food is often much more expensive than the crap stuff. I can buy a whole packet of custard creams for the price of one apple.

I think above point was that EV's aren't a cure all just because they run on electric instead of fossil fuels. They still have many of the same problems as regular cars so more should be done to get people on better modes of transport instead (e.g. trains, bikes etc).

Most trips aren't being taken by people carrying equipment to work. The good thing about promoting alternative methods of travel is that people who really need to drive (like yourself) aren't hindered by those only driving as it's the most convenient. Driving in the Netherlands is excellent partly because they have great cycling and public transport infrastructure.

You might find this video informative from Not Just Bikes about driving in the Netherlands - https://youtu.be/d8RRE2rDw4k?t=2m58s

The post and comments are weirdly surreal, as if the blackout never happened. none of the posts or comments even seem to mention it. Creepy!

I'd agree with that. It's probably a positive thing for children to be exposed to that sort of language in a controlled environment where the teacher can explain historical context. It's not like they'll be avoid racial slurs forever

Totally agree that it's the wrong punishment. It's not as if she would go around getting further abortions unless they locked her up.

Reddit negativity is spreading :(

According to the National Travel Survey 2021 only 3% of car trips are for business (see chart 10). The vast majority of trips are for leasure/commuting/shopping which can be done via other means.

Most people use the mode of transport most convenient for them, so the trick is to make more effecient modes of transport (i.e. not cars) the most convenient.

Would be nice if house prices fell to match the reduced amount people can borrow now. Feels bad that houses can just get more and more unaffordable with each increase

It is remarkably quick! Very efficient crash

Intriguing! I've never seen anything quite like it. Are they actually comfortable as wrist rests?

Whoever made the art for the sidebar, I love it.

I never understood why you would even want the pre-order bonuses. Surely that would detract from unlocking things in game if they give you a bunch of stuff for free. Wasn't it one of the dead space games that have you a bunch of bonus weapons that broke progression?

What phone are you running LineageOS on? I have a S10e, thinking of getting Lineage once updates run out

Oof just had a look at the comments on NoLawns. That's definitely disappointing how much negativity was on there

I love trams

I've used komoot for some time for cycling in London. It's quite good at creating routes that follow cyle ways/quit streets and the voice instructions are more frequent than Google maps. It does sometimes make some interesting route choices but overall I prefer it

Why what happened to Leicester Square?
