As someone who is morally aware but also morally lazy and eats meat, this gives me hope that cultured meat is actually a threat to the meat industry at this point. Otherwise they'd not be making it illegal.

I 100% would replace all of my meat consumption with cultured meat as long as its reasonably umami/fatty/tastey/varied. Because I know how awful the meat industry is.

Plus it'd even be safer and healthier, especially given the destruction of food safety in this country. Little to zero communicable disease risk.

I work at a tiny 10 person non-profit. I am by far the most computer literate person here by an order of magnitude, given my completely wasted software engineering degree. I offered in my downtime at work to fix a bunch of laptops used by our kids in the after school program that were malfunctioning in some way or another.

I was told to stick to my job description by our Executive Director, and that they'd contact an external IT person to deal with it. I'm an Admin Assistant, which TBH kind of means I wear many hats anyway so my job description is very broad...

I say this as an autist historically riddled with anxiety: Life is meant to be lived. I kind of lived similarly for the first ~15 years of my adult life and I regret it as a waste. Get out there, do something cringe, stupid, or questionably ethical. Make dumb mistakes, because if you don't your life will be a void and you'll learn nothing and stagnate. Live a life worthy of telling it as a story. Get hurt and accept you might hurt others by living vibrantly.

Younger people are no longer the most computer literate on average. Its between Millennials and Gen X that are the most computer literate generation. Boomers are too old computers weren't big when they were young. Zoomers are too young, computers became highly simplified during their childhood with the start of web 2.0 into the era of tablet & phone domination.

Alphas are going to be on the other hand completely illiterate, because education is increasingly a joke in the US. Also AI will do everything for them.
