By his logic we wouldn't need CEOs either, so silver lining?

I sympathise with your feelings, but they're really naive. They're not ruining it for everyone. Everyone is already using official app stores, and are blissfully unaware that something's happening. They're just ruining it for the unmarketable 1%, which is the goal. Also greed is usually very profitable in the long run, which is why we have the worlds first trillionaire, who got there through generational wealth.
Finished Lil Guardsman. It's an interactive show with some branching plots. The visuals and VO are top notch. There just isn't a lot of game in it. I'd recommend it as a palet cleanser in between more serious games.
"I don't think there is any European country that would arrest Netanyahu,"
Anyone not complying with the ICC arrest warrant not only deletigimitizes the ICC, but also makes themselves complicit in a genocide. This is literally criminal.
Why should I follow any laws anymore if my leadership takes a massive dump on the most important ones?
I can almost guarantee you that dude has a board or shareholders or whatever, breathing down his neck, and his yearly bonus is depending on the number of units sold. So he will canibalize the whole system with a complete disregard for the long term effects, so long as the magic number goes up in the short term and he can cash in his bonus.
I've seen the effects on invidious these past days. 8 in 10 instances have been broken. Google is putting some serious work into shutting alternate frontends down. Shows you how much of a dent they're putting in the bottom line.
Jesus that post is bleak. It's basically "Please write your political representative to do something or we're forced to close up shop". Since all our political representatives are walking around with massive hard-ons at the idea of surveilling us, it's basically a poorly veiled good bye note.
In theory this is awesome. Humans aren't built for menial tasks. All repetitive monotonous tasks should be automated. However, this doesn't fit our current economic system. Obviously all automation needs to be taxed, so that we don't have to live this paradox where each technological advancement is a risk to our livelihood.
Most souls likes. The marketing on those games is pure genius. No budget for an actual story? No problem! Let's hide some nebulous lore in item descriptions so youtubers can sell their head cannon as "the story". Oh there's only enough money for 8 hours of gameplay? I have a solution! Let's remove the save system everyone got used to these past 20 years so the player has to constantly redo our content just to get to the boss he's trying to beat. We'll sell that unecessary tedium as "difficulty". And people are gobbling that stupid mechanic up because it allows them to flaunt their e-peen, although it just shows they have more time time than skills.
They responded to it when it first came up 4 months ago. I'll paste my appropriate comment from that time.
The f-droid team spoke to that in a recent post. The post basically said that if that change isn't stopped on a government level there's no way for them to continue working. They didn't mention roms.
