If the EU abolishes DST in its member states, there won't be any patches or updates necessary to software out there. The timezone database will simply be updated to reflect the change of policy and bam, once your system has the new tzdata, restart your apps and they will automatically understand it. This is not like the Y2K bug that needed actual patches.
At this pace he will soon sanction the Ukraine for something.
Yeah, there is no law or rule that UTC offsets need to be full hours.
Wait, the news said last night that the passus about shunning US arms industry was ultimately removed from the EU resolution's last draft. Now here's another article claiming it's in, plus even extended to include Israel? None of the news sources I found actually link to the freakin' EU papers they are all talking about.
The white paper ( https://defence-industry-space.ec.europa.eu/... ) only contains "Israel" in one place and it's not about where to spend money.
Can someone guide me to the actual, final, real, true statement the EU made?
some basic manners before going into politics.
I don't think manners ever mattered for political success. They might even be a hindrance.
Awesome! Now half the sites on the web contain a tiny drop of information, buried under paragraphs and paragraphs of GPT-generated text, and now my browser uses the same LLM to reverse engineer the original information. What could possibly go wrong the LLMs talk to other LLMs and summarize, bloat, summarize and then bloat and then finally summarize every bit of information for us.
Do we actually still make websites for humans, or is it all just AIs and SEO?
Seems like Mozilla is still too rich if they can afford complete redesign of their product every 3 years. Let's hope the lepton ui fix will continue to work, I might have to up my donation there..
Well, according to Trump, there is no friendship between nations, only deals and leverage. Well, orange man, what do you have to offer for our eggs? Maybe lift your stupid tariffs again?
Reads like 100% unfiltered AI slop. This typical marketing speak of "Does this. No a, no B, just C." sentence structure.
Ah yes, because the war on drugs worked soooooo well in the US.
I gave up on that and actually flew to Norway just to buy some books and Blurays. 😬
Oh my god, FINALLY they seem to be getting the hint that Go's CLI is abysmally bad. Go is such an amazing language, but golly, whoever perpetrated this CLI design should never be allowed to code a command line tool ever again.
I hope that they finally make the CLI better, but the cynical asshole in me can already see the outcome: Nothing will change, since the CLI is now "established" and they would "fear we break too many things".
Thanks ☺️
You're very welcome.
This reads very much like an ad for their static code analyzer. There is no real advice, just examples for what their software caught. I wonder how many of these would also be caught by golangci-lint.
Unrelated, but the default link style makes all hyperlinks unreadable.
Nice article and all, but I'm not sure about the point the author tried to make. It read more like "random notes about case sensitivity in Go module URLs". I am still unsure what flexibility the author meant to highlight.
Thanks for posting nonetheless.
thanks for using Leebra!
