I've never had any trouble running adobe software on Linux.

I've also never tried, but still the statement is technically correct.

Found it mentioned as an alternative when Reddit announced their API changes.

I feel like most everyone* who cares about distros likes Debian. It may not be the right distro for your use case, but you're glad it's around.

* I'm sure even Debian has it's haters. But I think it's a minority.

Some unsolicited advice

  • Don't trust anyone trying to make a living off of selling you anything, even something less tangible like a lifestyle.
  • If you have extra income after living expenses, set a little aside for personal enjoyment and save/invest the rest. The future is uncertain.
  • If you want to travel to far flung destinations and have the means to do so, consider skipping the resort experience. You'll spend much less especially in developing countries and have a more authentic (relatively speaking), and rewarding experience.

Edit: Formatting.

I would say the majority of objections to systemd pertain to perceived overreaches of the project (perceptions I generally share). So in that sense, it is kind of on brand.

Two facts:

  • I'm about to head out to a Super Bowl party.
  • I agree with you.

My laptop booted in to Windows once. I missed my first guess on the key to enter setup and USB storage didn't have a higher boot order than internal storage.

7 year old me also didn't know about the L3 and R3 buttons. But this was the controller I had at the time so perhaps reasonable.

Clickbait title is unhelpful but did it's job in making me curious. Guessing it's this for those that don't want to watch a video.

Probably this is all very reactionary, NVIDIA's stock will recover and they'll remain a big player in the LLM space.

But I'm uninterested in LLM's and would love to see price drops on GPU's, so i hope there is a longer term moderate market loss for them in this space.

Using entirely reasonable standards that most of the rest of the world has adopted is too hard for us for some reason.

I had to deal with food insecurity when I was a young adult. This was around the turn of century. More than once I wrote checks I could not cover, hoping to get cash in the bank before it cleared. And I had to eat overdraft fees I obviously couldn't afford as a result.

This isn't so different in that not having enough money ends up costing more. And with wage disparity and food costs being what they are now, it's easy to believe that percentage, unfortunately.

For those who were a little concerned about the "breakup" phrasing in the title, I didn't see any indication in the article indicating those payment methods would stop being accepted. Just moving away from being reliant on them.

From: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/btw-i-use-arch

BTW I Use Arch is a catchphrase used to make fun of the type of person who feels superior because they use a more difficult Linux distribution.

I think that's fair to apply to some NixOS users. Source: BTW I use NixOS.

A selection of up to 30 candidates for a ranked choice does sound daunting. Yet despite that 80% of those that voted did complete those sections. That doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

Edit: mentioned city council specifically. Changed to more generic phrasing.
