Poor Campari. Drugged, snipped, and getting yelled at is a very shitty day. Give him extra hugs for me.
I had one of mine do the "who the hell are you?!" stranger danger hissing after the other had a vet visit. It can last hours or days. Mine lasted days. They both go together now whether one doesn't need to or not.
Obligatory "how do I go 3 days without pooping?"
I have family in Boone. I'll see if they will spread his story around.
Lollll, I love the name!
For those not getting the joke, mill ends are the scrappy imperfect remnants at the end of manufacturing a batch of yarn, cloth, carpet, etc. One can usually buy them at a nice discount from the factory or a distributor.
Wait, you all get paid?!
My recruiter told me this was entirely a volunteer position.
I got 2 kittens a few years ago for my calico who liked watching kitten videos on YT. She did NOT like the kittens in person. We addressed her as Hissy Sissy to the kittens. The kittens had been weaned too early (due to their foster mama cat getting kitty flu pretty bad and the rescue had to quarantine her). So the kittens were all about trying to get to know Hissy Sissy. She had had a hard street life before we found her, and didn't trust other animals. I was swerved by her YT habits, but her kitten curiosity didn't extend to in-person kittens. Sadly her kidneys quit on her so I'll never know if she would have eventually warmed up to them.

I love laser etched glass but it would show up much more on clear glass. So if you're set on brown glass, then left one looks better to me...from the picture. Now if it shows up to you in person enough that you can make out the motifs then, I would pick etched over heat printed.
Perhaps, but I would be too hard on glass bottles while I'm adventuring.
These were free swag though at a volunteer thank you party. I'm only upset that I can no longer covertly signal to the other local volunteers that I'm part of the club. 😄
Yes, hi, we do exist. And we were trying to get CEO to implement a hybrid policy for years before covid. He hated the thought. And he was the type of person that would not hesitate to fire an entire department if they felt bold enough to complain about it. When I started there, I didn't immediately report to him. Anyone there who had a layer of management between themselves and him had a pretty ok work experience there. Direct reports to CEO basically had to manage a toddler who was also the emporor with new clothes. I took the promotion to be his whipping post because I wanted to leverage it to move on. Instead now I have PTSD from an abusive boss and am not able to work full time.
tl;dr -- the C suite does discuss things amongst themselves with and without the CEO. But CEO already knows what they want to do, usually can't be swayed, can only be warned what the consequences of their decisions will bring.
Next week it is then!
Now it makes sense why cocktails have little umbrellas! They're summoning spirits!
If you have a friend to rely on to keep pinging the doc and cc-ing you, that was what finally got me there in the end. The specialist in my town was (you guessed it) incredibly ADHD themselves and in dire need of a personal assistant.
"Lions are the boys and tigers are the girls."
"People used to live to be 900 years old."
DAE start their parenthetical thought and end up writing full and multiple sentences inside it before returning to the original point?
I try to catch myself and just make a new paragraph when that happens but I'm not always successful.
liberals will never view cops as human enough to have mental health issues
Where is this coming from? Do you make that assumption about liberals and military? Because (while not perfect, and continually improving) mental health care for military has made huge advances in understanding and public acceptance in the last 2 decades.
I would like to see the same shift happen for police.
I would like for police leadership to truly normalize mental healthcare, and not just give it lip service.
I would also like for police as a whole to maybe adopt similar rigorous criteria for new career candidates, much like lawyers, CPAs, and other professional licenses. I'm held to a high standard of conduct and criminal liability because I have the technical knowledge to really destructively ruin peoples' lives. And the most dangerous tool of my trade is merely a calculator.
Good point. Born in the USA and Fortunate Son would probably fit in here as well.
That thing looks like a Fremen sandworm saxophone
That's pretty common in my area. Tell your wife she needs to get out more!
You can mix it up by saying "six of one, baker's dozen of the other" and see if she catches on.
My great uncle did. He survived North Africa, Sicily, and Omaha Beach. So he had some things to say.
thanks for using Leebra!
