Hellboy: imperfect, but good. I know he made a sequel, but I don't remember how good it was. I'll have to rewatch it, but I seem to recall being somewhat disappointed. I've never read the comics; did Hellboy spend all his time in those almost triggering or being the apocalypse?
Episodes 1-4 of The Sandman, Season 2: fine story and execution (so far). The utterly ridiculous imitation of Zoolander's Blue Steel keeps unintentionally making me laugh out loud.
"Why did I put on my crown first? I'm basically wearing a hat under a helmet. And why did I think doing my hair like this was a good idea? As soon as I turn my head, it's going to get stuck in my face! I'm going to kill the first person who smirks."
Also, I liked the part where it asks you consider whether you'd borrowed the range. Who does that?
"Hey, neighbor, do you have a gas range, I could borrow?"
"Sure, Bud, it's there in the garage. Just put it back when you're done."
"Thanks a load! Say, it's burning green. Did you put copper in the burners?"
"Yes, I did. Just for you! Breath deeply."
Also from the bio (can't imagine why this nugget didn't make it into the movie):
In 2008, John Constantine located the skeleton of [Saint] Nikolaus and arranged to have the remains shipped back to England for use in an occult ritual. In order to get the remains through customs, Constantine had them ground into powder and convinced the customs agent that it was gardening fertilizer. He used some of the powder for his ritual, then snorted the rest as if it were cocaine, musing about how it was going to be a "White Christmas".
Yep, I'm afraid Gladaed is right; definitely different pictures. When she posed for the sketches, she did something different with her arms each time. She sometimes changed her expression too. Oh, and one day she wore a shorter shirt.
Got it. The Easter Bunny is an immigrant, over 1,500 years old, and has at least one ovipositor. Let me restate the remaining question: Why does it lay/bring Celtic fertility symbols?? I learn so much here.
Picture #15 will shock you! (so much so that it's censored?)
I spent too long trying to figure out what was going on with the walls (and ceiling!) in #s 2 and 3. My first thought was a kid run amuck with markers, but it's too..."well done." Wall paper? No, it's not regular enough. All I can come up with is stamps, which is confusing on its own.
Oh, and the spot at the end of the stairs in #9, under the window to another planet--that's got to be beginning of a wormhole forming, right?
thanks for using Leebra!
