Thank you for setting up the group! My every other post is âwhereâs my pictureâ or âdo you see my photoâ but Iâm trying to do my best :-)
Yes it is the language thing, I cancelled posting and thus managed to catch the pop up that says âyou arenât allowed to post in this languageâ. For some reason I can reply here but not in the other community.
I don't but now you got me thinking :-D
At the beginning of every workday I write a to-do list on paper with pen and cross the items out as soon as Iâm done with them. I also take notes on paper when I read and review papers, it helps me retain the information better. My phone and my computer screen are often the main source of distraction for me and my notebook helps me keep the focus on the task.
It looks like Platinum 3776 Celluloid. At least mine is. Itâs made of celluloid and smells nicely (of camphor).
I have both and I like them both, started with Celadon Cat because I buy all cat-named inks without much thinking (I Am a Cat is my favourite). The shimmer in Sailorâs Warning is difficult to see, I have to squint and look at my writing by a sunny window to see the subtle glittering.
On good paper, Midori. The sheen is just hardly noticeable. There are several other sheen inks in that series and Hellâs Bells is the one with the most noticeable sheen.
Wow! I would expect Earl Grey to be brown/copper like tea.
Now, this is something I would like to have! Congratulations and happy birthday!
Oh no, Iâm sorry! I hope it shows up. I really thought it was a name of a Diamine ink so I clicked on the post thinking âawww what a cool nameâ. I realised now itâs about a wandering package.
This is black magic to me. Thank you for everything you do for us!
Itâs very nice. I donât have much experience with various nibs but I have another architect - Hongdian long knife. This one has more feedback and more variation between vertical and horizontal lines, Hongdian just glides and is wetter (more wet?). The whole nib is very large in comparison with the pen body and stands out.
No, it is not normal. Normal is when you take a pen and it just writes. I'm no expert on storage, I've read somewhere that FPs should be stored vertically (nib up). I don't know if that's correct, my pens are stored in a box, definitely not vertically.
Where to find starter pens depends on where you are. I am in Europe and I usually buy from Stilo & Stile, sometimes Penstore, in both cases online.
Hong dian is not a bad pen but for roughly the same price on Amazon you can get a Pilot Metropolitan which is probably 1000 better, looks better and the quality is more consistent.
I've tried to create a separate post about this here but I can't! The little wheel is spinning and nothing happens. I can neither create new post nor comment in the Fountain Pen community.
Wow! This is what I call sheen :-)
Itâs beautiful. Is a nib mounted like this difficult to clean? It looks like itâs fixed there for good.
Midori is lovely, especially for fancy inks - shimmer and sheen are more visible in my MD notebook than on Rhodia and Lechtturm papers that Iâve also tried. My favourite MD notebook is A5 grid additionally divided into 4 squares, works great for journalling and for the Goldlist method. No idea how this particular MD notebook is called, I buy it from Stilo e Stile.
Aww, this is your new pen! Does it take standard international converters, I think these cartridges are standard international, right? I think the purple works well with the pen.
thanks for using Leebra!
