@lemmy.ml
I have wares if you have coin.
This might be a hot take but...
Is the interface really that terrible? I feel that if it were as easily accessible aa reddit or even facebook then we would be bombarded with so many brain dead posts by users who don't understand how to get through a computer and therefore the quality of posting and discussion goes way down.
I'm probably wrongly stereotyping and judging here but I had to say it.
This is particularly why I don't participate in any social media aside from (what used to be reddit but now) lemmy. It got to the point where I wasn't even enjoying reddit, I just clicked it out of habit. And did I actually retain anything useful from that website? Lol no. It was all just timewasting bullshit that put you in a pissy mood.
It's nice to actually hold a fucking conversation for once. I think a lot of us came here for the same reason; missing the community of that old school forum feel.
You could be what is called a "sex-positive asexual." It basically means how it sounds. It does sound a bit like that, based off your description though.
It's kinda funny. Once you get to experience the act it's kinda like.... "this is it, huh? The pinnacle of human euphoria. Huh." I think that's where it starts for a lot of people. They start to question of they're "broken," or whatever, because they don't share the same admiration of it as their peers. That is how it felt for me anyway.
Only you can tell yourself if you resonate with it, but whatever you decide on, you're welcome here.
So fricken true
Does anyone remember that shrine where you had to attach a giant ball to like a raft or something in between some walls in some water? Yeah I had no idea how to do that, was I supposed to make like a paddle boat or something? I ended up just making a giant long ramp and walking up the platform with the ball....
Botw had some shrines like this too where it was like "oh I didn't know I could do that, oops I'm at the exit by accident, oh well"
You've got a very good point here that I don't think a lot of people have considered. I'm glad someone had mentioned it -- it could very well be just what we need.
I have nothing else to add that wouldn't be portrayed as negative so I believe putting efforts frontwards to bettering what currently is, is a great course of action.
The other comments already mentioned this, but I'll just reiterate myself...
Ace doesn't mean being a lone wolf. The only thing it really means is that you experience little to no sexual attraction. You could still be heteromantic, homoromantic, or somewhere in between. For example I'm heteromantic ace. I'm in a "normal-passing" relationship. I have a bf that I've been together with for almost 10 years now. No one would know if they didn't truly know me; and truthfully, no one knows me that well anyway.
It's tough being an ace in the dating pool, I get it. Your own dating pool seems so slim. But even if you don't find another ace to date, that's okay. And not only that but there's also a spectrum of gray ace to explore too.
What you explained in your original post makes me think that there was a slight consideration of aro instead. Aromatic is something a bit different but nevertheless important to understand as well.
Good luck.
Thank you. It really is a stress relaxer. It took a while to get everything set up for sure. This room has about 110 plants in it, most on the shelving on the wall opposite of the windows. I've got another 60 scattered in another room. I like bringing nature inside :)
There's literally not anything left on reddit that I wish to see anymore. It's all controlled and bloated and designed to keep you addicted and angry. I've been increasingly bored and annoyed with the platform for a while, so this made the transition to lemmy even easier. Honestly, a lot of people are better off without it.
I kinda wish I joined beehaw for this exact reason. I signed up a little before the overload and I think there was a couple hundred members at most but now I'm seeing some of the old reddit mindset trickle in and.... ugh.
Maybe I just don't like redditors? Talk about irony. Lol
I hope there ends up being a migration feature introduced sometime.
I wish there was a better way to navigate the menus. Being a mage is SO time consuming honestly. As much as I try to give alteration a stronger shot, I almost always end up going full destro because the time it takes to buff up and attack vs just going nuts is kind of annoying.
thanks for using Leebra!
