The sad truth is that without news like this I would've never known who this person was and ultimately I think I would've been happier.
Same applies to these certain US politicians. I know the horrible ones and none of the smart ones by name.
I wish shitty people get zero news coverage, from now on to forever, but people like OP spread the word even when the news is negative. Damn.
I get most of my games from Humble Bundle now days but I grabbed:
Hades - great roguelite from steam deck
Subnautica below zero - subpart continuation of one of the best games this millennia
Technomancer - purely because mortismal gaming suggested it
24 euros. Worth it.
None of my wishlist games were under 10€ so I skipped all of the deals there. Instead I bought (or put to the cart as I wanna sleep over my decisions) lots of DLCs to Total War Warhammers, Powerwash Simulator and other games I already own and like to play.
One new game I want to purchase is the Case of the Golden Idol which looks really interesting
Quick version:
Rabbit hole:
I had the exact same problem on one of my virtual boxes. The problem baffled me for two years and I just added more space to the box a few times to fight it as I couldn't solve the issue. It wasn't the inodes, deleted but open files or anything common like that.
The problem was my mounts. I had occasionally failing mounts combined with crontabs that accessed and wrote data to those mounts. Do you know what happens when you accidentally wrote let's say 200gb data to /mnt/a and then later mount a drive over that mount point? It magically 'disappears' as you'd exclude that mount from the calculations.
Might be you don't have anything mounted and none of the above is useful to you. But this solved my issue and it's quite curious and silly. Just set up mount points to not be writeable and problem went away.
Thanks for making these posts!
Just to add more info on those images you found for Dolphin. The original art without the text is from this artist https://www.artstation.com/.... I love them.
I started Brotato after some serious Vampire Survivors. I want to know what the heck is the genre of Brotato and VS and find more games like them.
Heard only positive about Balatro. I need to keep my addiction to one game at the time hehe. You know any (roguelitish?) games that are off the radar or more obscure? They seem to be my jam.
My most played game was Brotato. It just plays so well and one run lasts about 20mins which is perfect for me when I don't want to commit too much time.
My most surprising game is probably a Trackmania which took a while to get working because of the Ubisoft launcher not playing nice with Linux but then again there are so many guides to get it working it's not that big of a deal. For me I had to change the wlan MTU packet from 1500 to under 1000 and all was well.
Outside tinkering I'd suggest Heaven's Vault. Adventure/Puzzle game where you decipher an unknown language from glyphs. You can quit and next time you pick the game it will give a summary where you left last time storywise - such an awesome quality of life for short gaming bursts
I have to be bit against decky. Out of the five steam deck crashes I've had past year all of them were because of decky frontend. At least that was what the crash report said and it had also option of disabling decky until next reboot. So my experience was decky crash -> no decky&happy -> system upgrade -> decky crash -> no decky &happy -> system upgrade... rinse & repeat
I'm not a decky (or steam deck) power user and last I checked the uninstall was not trivial so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I wish I never installed decky.
One of the best examples of a game that did it right was Heaven's Vault. The game was decent/mediocre (imo) but every time I opened it it summarized what I did last time and it had awesome timeline history
In Stardew valley no matter what you had done its so easy to just start doing something you like and the game smoothes you in. Its plot has zero time limits after all
Forgot to add my pet peeve: non adjustable time/turn/action/decision limits in single player games. I hate when I have to play a game with 'perfect knowledge'/wiki to get desirable outcome because I wanted to schmuck around trying things instead of focusing the main plot/whatever the game wanted me to do. Games like Homeworld, FTL, Phoenix Point and some CRPGs I made an error early into the game and instead of giving me a way to correct my mistake the game just became unwinnable at the end. "I have to live with the consequences of my actions." Some people love that but for me it ruins the feeling. Games aren't real life. I just spent 10+ hours and I can't continue anymore? Sucks.
I just finished the game a week ago and it was a nice experience. The story and the characters were completely forgettable and uninteresting but the art style and exploration vibe were great. I too 100% it and the game didn't overstay its welcome. Just a nice casual exploration.
This week I started Tchia which has similar exploration feeling in New Caledonia but lots of Ubisoft style collectables and minigames. So far so good.
I have never played Destiny 2 and wanted to try it out one month ago. I asked on Reddit what to do as a free-to-play player to get a good insight of what the game has to offer.
The gatekeeping was unreal. They said unless I'm willing to dedicate hundreds of hours I should not even try and rather uninstall the game immediately. For sure they made it feel that new players are not welcome.
Playerbase toxicity was a harsh reality. The game story, even in the broadest sense, was hard to grasp. The new player experience in-game was miserable. I have no idea what their money making plan is. Live service games need new players to stay healthy.
I've done exactly as you said. I'm doing them one in every two years and I'm having fun. I don't think I've ever paid more than 5 euros for one game. They are the kind of low effort easy fun but that's exactly what I want. I have my hard games and series for when I want that type of experience
It has been two years since I did a perfection run on Stardew Valley so why not do it again - this time heavily modded with the most downloaded extended mod pack that I customized even further.
I've also tried to play Where Winds Meet but Stardew has my attention nine days out of ten.
Wait what? Slay the Spire was on your list? Care to elaborate on that a little bit more?
All my Slay the Spire runs start with the exact same starter deck and I do not have extra health, damage, or other bonuses from my prior runs. I don't get your point.
FTL? What the heck. If I beat the flagship I don't get any bonuses for beating it for my next run.
I don't know if we understand 'roguelite where we get permanent bonuses for next round' in the same way. In Hades and Rogue Legacy your run will most likely be more stronger than your last run because of permanent upgrades. In FTL, Slay the Spire or Into the Breach you don't get those - you just expand the available starting gear / setups.
I used Linux Mint and GTX 2070 for over a half a year without any major problems. Installation was incredibly easy as there was a dialog box asking to install drivers and everything just worked. I have 4 monitor setup even.
Ultimately I switched to AMD (last week) because of the tiny problems that I experienced but mostly because I wanted to support AMD and could reason for an GPU upgrade.
I started Yakuza 0 on my PC and Excavation of Hob's Barrow on my deck.
Yakuza side missions are fun but the combat feels too repetitive. Maybe it gets better once you unlock more skills but I doubt it.
thanks for using Leebra!
