I'm glad I jumped ship back during the ban on 3rd party apps. That was it for me.
Ya I'll never stop using ad blockers, the internet is essentially unusable without them. Mine still work on youtube but if the day comes that they don't I'll just stop using it. We need some competition here, things have gotten increasingly anticonsumer and the companies have gotten too comfortable doing and charging whatever they want
I cant stand anything microsoft anymore. Teams, outlook, word, every iteration just makes me more angry.
Thats called manufacturing results and its a massive nono. I work in a research pathology lab and I've refused to do sketchy analysis for clients asking me fudge stuff to fit a narrative. I can't put into words how irresponsible this is, anyone else would be fired on the spot.
We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas!
Joe rogan origin story.
I just wanna look at memes, cats, and news and hang out in the comment section without being exposed to ads, is that too much to ask?I hope their IPO sucks and they get shorted i to oblivion while they bleed off users month over month, because thats whats going to happen if they keep pulling this sort of stuff.
you can live with it and not understand it, but you can also understand it and not be able to empathize what its like to live with it. This statement sucks no matter how you look at it.
this is some handmaid's tale shit.
he bankrupted multiple casinos, why not multiple countries?
is that why they never use turn signals? you need a subscription?
Thats one of the reasons i'm not having kids. I have a decent life by any metric but I had to work my ass off and face a tonne of resistance in my career. It always feels like I'm playing catch up with the cost of everything going up and up to the point where I'm just exhausted and depressed. Like, what is the point of living?! it honestly feels like theres just nothing left to enjoy anymore, everything has been monetized to hell and back. They told us as kids that you can be anything you want when you grow up, the future is bright and if you work hard you will be rewarded and its just not true. I can't do that to another person, these problems are only getting worse with no end in sight.
I'm not seeing any lies there. I worked my ass off my entire career and still have to go back to school to get a little piece of paper that lets me do what I do in a clinical setting. I've got 2 degrees already, almost a decade of experience and I'm even decently-paid, but thanks to the cost of being alive I was forced into even more schooling to open up a few more doors in the long run. I'm feeling exactly like this article, I've given life everything I've got and the bar keeps getting higher and higher, its soul-crushing, I'm just so tired.
its "I could not care less" and not "I could care less". This one drives me nuts
the whole workplace culture is so anti-worker its unreal, its almost adversarial like the landlord-tennant relationship. it'd be great if there were a "you take care of me, I take care of you" attitude for employee/employers but these days it feels like they want to squeeze every last bit of productivity out of you and pay you as little as possible for your efforts, and everyone wonders why its so hard to attract tallent. its out there, just take care of your workers!
Those are such sweet cats, I got one of those boys and he's my little buddy.

This is why politics and science shouldn't mix. The truth is the truth, no matter how inconvenient it is to your bottom line.
Because of "impact score" the journal your work gets placed in has a huge impact on future funding. Its a very frustrating process and trying to go around it is like suicide for your lab so it has to be more of a top-down fix because the bottom up is never going to happen.
Thats why everyone uses sci hub. These publishers are terrible companies up there with EA in unpopularity.
thanks for using Leebra!
