You’re talking about over a hundred people being reckless which seems hard to believe.
I agree with your overall point, but I find this very easy to believe.

As someone who spent their first 20 years living in rural and very rural areas, they didn't say anything out of line from what I've experienced.
Watching your entire community have terrible health, no job opportunities, awful infrastructure, and little to no access to healthy foods while constantly taking every opportunity to stand in opposition to any politician, bill, or outreach program that may help them is hard to understand.
But I can vouch for the fast food remark. When a Burger King opened in the town I was living in, the line was wrapped around the building and holding up traffic on the road during every mealtime. It was like that for weeks. I moved before the hype died down. A Whopper is a luxury when your other choices is what can be had at a Dollar General and a gas station that sells bruised fruit and single potatoes.
Everything I have watched has been welcoming, educational, and entertaining. Seems like a well adjusted nerd who wants to share and learn everything he can about a topic he is passionate about. Literally got into coffee because of his videos.
A lot of people seem to think The Little Mermaid is doing quite well and if you're just reading the headlines from all the major reporting groups I could see why. If you look at the box office numbers, it is a different story. Many sources state the break-even point for it to be north of $500 million and after almost a month in theaters it still hasn't made the mark.
Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and their animation studio have produced a lot of content since 2020 with most of it losing money, barely breaking even, being critically panned, or having terrible viewership. Disney is in turmoil financially and it's clear that their current pool of talent isn't delivering what fans want to see. Elemental just released to the worst opening weekend for a Pixar movie ever. They need some changes to right the ship. Chopping some live actions from the line up may be something we see if they dry up as a major cash source as is indicated by The Little Mermaid.
I too have lived across the United States spending much of my formative years in the American South. Every single area has issues. You'll find more bigotry in areas of low education or high ignorance. Both of those aspects can come from a variety of sources (religion, low wealth, poor education, isolation, etc).
The thing I have never found useful though is hating a large, generalized group or area. You will always find a particular part of the country more acceptable to the way you want to live simply because the culture is aligned with the values that you hold. In my experience everyone is much more similar than they are different. For all the complaining you are doing about Southerner's being bigoted, you yourself are holding animosity toward this group of people.
If you understand the history of the region and look at the rampant corruption of the government in the area, you can come to understand the reason it is the way it is. I personally don't hold it against them as most of it is directly attributed to ignorance, lack of experience with other cultures, the cult-like religious stranglehold, and general media misinformation. The majority of people are compassionate and are willing to accept others once some understanding is established in regards to outside cultures/ideals. Of course there are extremists who will not relent and those people thrive in areas of ignorance.
"Fuck the South" contributes to the issues and further inhibits tolerance in an area that needs it the most.
Very poor planning. 5,000 kits is simply not enough especially when encouraging people to buy multiple to share with friends and family. This seems more suited for a Patreon exclusive event. He has over 7,000 supporters there giving him $20,000 USD every month.
Just wanted to echo this as my experience too. It's unreal how many times my wife has to change her entire lesson plan for an entire grade because one parent wanted to complain about a non-issue while at the same time parents refuse to address real issues that disrupt not just their student but the learning experience of everyone else.
On kbin myself, but the amount of spam and bot posts is off-putting. It's worse if I'm following the same community on multiple instances. I'll have the same exact spam post show up multiple times in my feed because it was posted on multiple instances. There seems to be little in the way of moderation. Still browse here and appreciate it but I hope it improves in the future.
Also experiencing a bug where some long posts or comments will not expand making them unreadable.
You're right. I'm only referring to their movie and streaming service revenue. From the constant losses on movies and the fact that they have lost millions of Disney plus subscribers for 2 quarters in a row, I don't see that service even being profitable by that 2024 expectation. I'm sure the writer strike will further hamper their ability to produce content. I don't see more people signing up for a service that is shedding subs and offering little new content.
There is no single piece of media that has had more impact on me throughout my life than the Final Fantasy series. I enjoyed the first half or so of 15 so much that I thought for sure it would be my new favorite game of all time. It devolved into such a shit heap that I couldn't even bring myself to play it post updates & DLC. It along with KH3 has left me sour on all of Square's modern releases. I was pleasantly surprised by FF7 Remake and will play FF16 at some point. Even a mediocre Final Fantasy is better than what 15 gave us.
There have been 41 school shootings in the 2020's in the United States where 3 or more people of been injured or killed. 160 total incidents with no restrictions on victim count.
