I'm a dual national and my name is different in each passport. Bought the plane ticket with the name written in one of the passports but then I forgot it at home πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

I had the other one on me but since the name in it was different they didn't let me on the plane...

Ever since then I keep both passports very close to each other with a rubber band!

It's really strange how fast I became invested in this tech and concept. Within a day I swapped my habit of opening my Reddit app every 3 seconds with opening my Lemmy app every 2 seconds to see if it's still there. If it's still catching on. Would be really cool if this thing took off. Hope we can make it happen 😁

A proper search page for communities, users and posts is sorely missing at the moment

Quite bizarre and annoying that the maintainers don't explain what their project is about front and center. I have no idea what Lean is and would like to know. Where should I be looking if not at the Github README?

Using Selenium for this is probably overkill. You might be better off sending direct HTTP requests with your form data. This way you don't actually have to spin up an entire browser to perform that simple operation for you.

That said, if it works - it works!

I'm pretty sure it was mythbusters

Good point. This is also possible to overcome with one additional HTTP request and some HTML parsing. Still less overhead than running Selenium! In any event, I was replying in a general sense: Selenium is easy to understand and seems like an intuitive solution to a simple problem. In 99% of cases some additional effort will result in a more efficient solution.

Revisiting Heavy Bullets. Some people gave it slack for being "game jam game tier" but I think it's polished enough. More importantly, I'm finding it very fun at the moment.

Thanks. It looks like the source is broken? When installing I get the error "Apollo could not be installed. The downloaded version of Apollo does not match the version specified by the source."

I'll just stick with the sideloaded IPA I have for now. Thanks again

Well as far as "Lemmy welcoming committees" go, there are already quite a few from what I can tell. So I wouldn't invest time in that but it's up to you, of course. I mean, you're offering a community named "Reddit" and people won't be coming here for that anyways. Seems natural share Reddit-related info and news, at least to me. Otherwise you could have named the community something other than "Reddit" :) (e.g. "Lemmy Newcomers", "Reddit Refugees", etc.)

Just my 2 cents on that topic.

Personally, I can say that I'm sorely missing a central place for news on the Reddit situation/fallout. Some technology communities have been providing the news I'm looking for but this could be a more relevant source.

I think this could serve as a place for meta discussions regarding Reddit (news and the like).

Anything else sounds redundant in my opinion. I mean, Reddit still exists in its own right...
