I wonder how diverse the sample size was on this. However it's heartening to see so many average people waking up to the oppression of capitalism unfolding before them. I feel like just a few years ago the average person was still a staunch believer that capitalism works and a free market existed. But now there's more comment about how we are just at the whim of rich people's games.

It's a small win but the class consciousness is growing. Maybe this is the fight that will finally unite the US. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and I gladly welcome anyone to the fight against the bourgeoisie.

How do we the people create any true influence over the DNC? Aren't they like the final approver for a democratic presidential candidate? And the DNC board isn't elected by the people as far as I know. How could we ever have a true leftist democratic party if the DNC is running things?

I lost all respect for the movie and the entire franchise after hearing "unobtainium" as the name of the super rare space mineral. Nearly walked out of the theater.

I once volunteered for about a year doing a 3d printer lab at a library. It quickly became a commitment that I would dread every other Sunday and it burned me out so I had to stop. It put me off from wanting to volunteer again. I'm generally a helpful person and don't mind sharing my time with others, but the work like commitment really ruined it for me. Maybe if I didn't have a full time job it might have been more enjoyable.

Or maybe I'm actually an awful person that lied to myself about my ability to be generous. Idk.

What do you all use vpn for? Just curious. I don't use a vpn in my personal life, just never could justify the cost. I've been torrenting for decades and haven't had any issues in a long time and that was really the only use case I saw for VPN myself.

Oh now that makes sense to me. I was trying to figure out how anyone could possibly think those were acceptable images. But it makes sense if the entire site is fully generated.

To be fair you could probably one punch a seagull and one punch seems completely reasonable for something stealing your pastry.

The U.S. government under President Trump has sought to weaken regulations intended to keep the U.S. food supply safe, most recently seeking to abolish what it calls “outdated processing requirements” for meat and poultry products. USDA under Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has proposed speeding up the chicken slaughtering lines from 140 birds per minute to 175 and the turkey slaughtering lines from 55 birds per minute to 60.

Regulations are written in blood, usually due to deaths. They are the only things attempting to keep us safe from these corporations and without them I expect things to get much worse and the exploitation to increase with each lessened regulation. Both for workers and consumers.

That 2nd picture really hits. You have a person sitting on a curb in a defeated posture, invoking images of someone who is down on their luck possibly unable to find work, while behind them is this ad featuring a blank almost soulless face depicting an "employee," who presumably is the reason the curb sitter cannot find work, being praised for not ever needing or wanting work/life balance (you know, things like sleeping or not working)

It's such a bleak and dystopian scene presented in such an average everyday setting.
