That would be the worst movie marathon ever!!
I rather learn on other people's equipment and when I get good at it, I can do the same in my homelab. It's a win win from my perspective :)
I am often a victim of number 3, especially, with my young kids around :(
Everything is good as long as no one messes with THE BEANS!!!
"Most far left politicians"? We don't have any real far left politicians. All we have are lefty wannbes who just care about furthering their careers within the Democratic party. We need a third party and we need it now. A party that holds true leftist values and not what the democrats claim to support. We have had enough lip service by the so called leftists in the Democratic party.
I use Bromite from Fdroid and love it. It has a builtin Ad blocker and is basically a degoogled chrome.
I just spent last weekend fixing all the things I broke last week......yes, the WHOLE weekend. I guess its called home"lab" for a reason :)
Depending on what you need. If you plan to run everything via docker, install docker+portainer on the host and manage your docker instances via portainer. Proxmox is great with lot of functionality. If you don't plan to use proxmox as a hypervisor, avoid the overhead and just go with portainer and docker on bare metal.
That's true. I use quite a few VMs but I have enterprise grade servers in my homelab. If I were to use a consumer grade PC, I would probably just focus on docker containers. This way I can get maximum usage out of it. I am totally pro proxmox as it has been the best hypervisor I have used for my home lab and with Proxmox backup server running, the backups are seamless.
I don't think it would happen unless all the fans of the brand start understanding the importance of opensource. But knowing Apple, they would go bankrupt before they bend to the demands of what people actually want. As long as their customers applaud or defend every dumb decision Apple has made, they will never change.
Ok, so this is my setup.
Work laptop: Forced to use chrome so switched to degoogled chromium. Personal PC: Windows and Linux: Use librewolf on my personal machines. iPhone: Use Firefox on my iPhone Android: I use Bromite (Chromium based) on my Android phone.
So, it's basically using the best I could find for each job. I cannot defend either of those as the only reason I continue to use them is because I am used to the interface.
Thanks, I just did a quick test and it seems that organic Maps is still not available for Android auto. So will probably stick with OSMAnd+ until I can get rid of my Android auto dependency. I looked at GitHub and it seems that they are working on Android auto support so hopefully it will be ready soon. Keeping fingers crossed 🤞
Yes, OSMAnd pro version supports Android Auto.
I think you are onto something. I fall asleep around 8 PM and wake up around 5 am. Not that I want to but I can be sitting in the couch and just fall asleep. It started happening in my late 30s. In my 20s, I would be out drinking till 4 am, go to bed, wake up after 3 hours and feel great. Old man issues are real :)
I stopped tipping. I dont feel ashamed about it at all.
I started with Proxmox in my homelab as I was a beginner and the proxmox forums were amazing as a resource to learn about everything proxmox. I decided to stick with it as it was so easy for a beginner like me.
You have to enable developer mode in Android auto, add OSNAnd and then disable Android Auto to have it appear as an option. The instructions are on OSMAnd website. I followed those instructions and it worked. I have the FDroid version so not sure if it's different for the Google Play store version.
My homelab started as an experiment when I discovered docker and proxmox. I spun up things randomly without paying much attention to resource allocation and any form of order. I ended up using a lot of these services in my daily workflow and they became central to my daily workflow. Now, I am running low on resources on some of my servers due to over allocation and have docker containers randomly in different VMs. I wish I thought this journey through and realized that I will be doing this homelabbing for the long run.
Is that beans when they get angry?
thanks for using Leebra!
