I enjoyed both when they were still airing, but I can completely understand why people watching them today for the first time wouldn't. It's one of those, "you had to be there" kinda things. Just like I probably wouldn't enjoy watching The Beverly Hillbillies or I Love Lucy if I tried watching them today.

I read it 3 times, and I'm still not sure if I understand what they were trying to say.

Dialog also plays matchmaker. Its participant form asks registrants whether they are “looking for love” and offers to include “Single Man,” “Single Woman,” or “Other” respondents in “future matchmaking.” A separate site, dating.dialog.org, hosts an app pitched as “meaningful connections for exceptional people.”

"Evil Single Male Billionaire looking for Evil Single Female Billionaire. I just want someone I can continue pillaging the world with before eventually escaping to our luxury underground bunker in a secure location where we will escape the consequences of our actions. I like long walks on the beach, and reading poetry. ❤️"

One of the things I miss the most about the 1900s is that people didn't expect you to be reachable 24/7. Even though cellphones had been around since the 80s very few people had one. That meant that most people could only be reached through the family landline. If you didn't answer people would just assume you were out of the house, thus unreachable. That all started to change in the 2000s when cellphones became common place. Now days I feel like everyone expects me to pick up when they call, and if I don't they expect a better excuse than "I don't feel like talking right now." As a very introverted person who often needs a lot of alone time, it sucks, and sometimes I really wish I could go back to a world without cellphones.

On Friday, the president posted an artificial intelligence-generated video from the official White House account featuring Trump grabbing Colbert from his late-show set and throwing him into a large dumpster while dancing to the Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.”

“Colbert is finally finished at CBS. Amazing that he lasted so long! No talent, no ratings, no life. He was like a dead person,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “You could take any person off of the street and they would be better than this total jerk. Thank goodness he’s finally gone!”

I know I should be used to this sort of thing by now, but reality is so weird.

I just had an idea for a totally fictitious short story about a president who keeps pressing hard for new ballroom, but it's actually just a ruse for a new state-of-the-art top secret bunker that is being built underneath it. Anyways, this absolutely fictional president needs this ballroom/bunker because they're not planning on leaving office after their second term, and their plan is to wait out the impending civil war from there. This could be a fun story to write, but I'm a little worried that it's too far-fetched.

2022 RUBIO: This guy lies, habitually lies. He's never kept a deal they've ever signed. And he lies all the time. And I don't know why, but he plays us like a – like a violin in the West because the West wants to believe that you can cut a deal with everybody. You can't cut a deal with guys like this. He's a professional, experienced liar.

At first, I wasn't sure who Rubio was referring to, orange man or Putin.

To be fair, of the three leading causes drug poisoning deaths saw the largest increase.

In 2023, 4,455 children and adolescents were killed by guns—a 3.9% increase since 2020. While motor vehicle crash deaths rose 8.6% over the same period, drug poisoning deaths, including overdoses, were the third leading cause of death, up 12.7% since 2020.

Interesting. Do you know why people collect them? Is it like a rabbits foot? Are there lucky raccoon penises out there?

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed. The latest episode (4) was great! I'm completely sold on watching the rest of this season. Tatiana Maslany and the supporting cast members are all fantastic!

Widow's Bay. Just discovered this show today and binge watched up to the latest episode (8). It's billed as a horror/comedy, but it's mostly just funny. It's kinda like if a season of American Horror Story had been a comedy. Kate O'Flynn is particularly hilarious in just about every scene she's in. Highly recommend!

I liked it. Very surprised it's sitting at 5.2 on IMDB. Seems harsh!

Yes, of course it's both, but I think people are upset with the statement because Democrats (with a few exceptions) traditionally bend over backwards trying to ignore the fact that the billionaire class is a HUGE part of the problem.
