I have a problem with the idea that ALL cars are leaking 25% of their refrigerant each year. Even saying 1 in 4 cars have a complete refrigerant failure every year doesn’t sound correct.

If this meme was about Lemmy, it would be getting blasted by furry post

The indentions on the side are for a spanner wrench to tighten this nut onto a threaded rod. The top is a decorative cover.

No. If I want a light hearted game to just sit down and relax, that’s what I want. I don’t want the game to say “you know, this guy isn’t grinding enough, let’s make them gather more resources to build that thing he’s trying to build”. It’s forcing a grind and I won’t buy a game that does this.

Whole family besides me had iPhones. My android was way more customizable, but also had more bugs and things didn’t always work as intended. Now on iPhone where more apps are made for it, I feel like the apps are vetted better and things just work much more smoothly. At the cost of customization I gained consistency. Lastly, my iPhones have just lasted longer than any of the Androids I had.

I was banned from r/pics for questioning the authenticity of a picture. I did not say anything hurtful and I was just pointing out that some of the things they were saying weren’t adding up. I was even backed by others who were also stating that it didn’t add up and adding other points. Banned from the sub with a vaguely worded message that basically stated “if you can tell us why you are sorry for why we banned you, we’ll unban you”, to which I responded that I have absolutely no idea why I was banned. After that, I received a message that I was permabanned. It’s so stupid.

Can be? No, small boobs ARE very attractive.

Can you post a picture of the trim on the INSIDE that is likely holding that plastic in place? I would approach this like a door with glass sidelights. (Not a joke or pun, that’s what they are called)

I moved my custom domain this past weekend because Google sent me a notice that my pricing was about to double to $18/month for 3 email addresses. I’m s absurd and I’m still pissed they rugged pulled us on the custom domains after many years of using their services. They kept adding “value added features” that I don’t care about to justify their pricing and all I wanted was email. Takeout.google.com to download your mailboxes.

Try removing the battery, then with the battery removed press the power on button on and off for about 30 seconds, put battery back in and see if it starts charging.

It’s always a balance between security and convenience. You have to mitigate what risk you are willing to well…risk

I know how you feel and thank you for replying.

New Lemmy user, new to the fediverse or both?

I have this exact picture at my house. It was at my father’s house all my life until last year they redecorated and it ended up with me.

All my life I grew up with that picture in the bathroom. Over time it just grew on me since really there wasn’t much to do but to read readers digest or look at this print since I grew up before the advent of cell phones. Idk, there’s something peaceful and relaxing about it.

Ok, good to know. I’m also a new user from the Reddit api BS. Here’s what I know, depending on if you want to see NSFW content or not, find a instance that serves your needs. Be prepared that in the beginning, using the “All” feature, will be the best way to decipher what content you want to see and what you don’t. Block communities you don’t like, subscribe to the ones you do and don’t do either the ones you are on the fence about. Over time, your “Subscribed” filter will be great. It’s a pain in the beginning, but necessary and good since there’s not a algorithm MAKING THESE DECISIONS FOR YOU. I love the fact that I can control what I do see and what I don’t. Switching accounts on Lemmy is very easy to do to keep things organized in case you want an account for NSFW content and one you don’t…you know…for research purposes.

I’ve never ran VMs before and started by running Minecraft in Docker. I was having issues with Docker working as intended and spun up Virtualbox to host my VMs in Windows 10 home. Since I am very new to Ubuntu and VMs, I was relying heavily on Claude AI in the beginning to get everything working but as a side affect, I started learning more about Linux and how it operates. I dedicated 4gb of ram, 2 CPU cores and only 20gbs of storage in the beginning, but have upped the ram to 8gb since then. As this was a trial project, I’ve been very pleased with how everything is going on a 10yr old PC that I recently replaced. Now that I have everything working, I’ve implemented daily automated backups and have the PC turn on at 8am and gracefully shut down at 2am to keep my friends and I on schedule. Now I want to upgrade the hardware knowing I can make it work LOL.

Yes, I imported it to my Mac using the box files. I’m currently waiting for an update to a Thunderbird plugin to allow me to input them to my PC as well for safekeeping.
