I wouldn't use it on anything, but if you have to... i'd start by looking if it's possible to use it from a web browser instead of using an app. This way, the browser app will isolate it from having access to your entire device.

I recently had a similar experience with one of my boxes... similar specs also. Im my case it turned out to be a disk going bad. Unfortunately It was the one / was on.

It did take a while to figure out the problem though, but you may want to take a look at the atop tool. If anything, it will help you rule out disk issues.

The fact that you speak of 'market share' implies profit for somebody at some point. In most cases Google, Microsoft, Apple, Mozilla or somebody. Good for you for deciding who you want to support, but you make it sound like there is something wrong with it being owned by some corp...when the same is true for everything else

This goes beyond coincidence. This is more like you being a suspect every time some crime is committed. I'm sure in a perfect world you would be proven innocent... but that world doesn't exist and handing over this power to corporate entities and govts only opens it up for abuse.

@fraydabson @krdo been curious about caddy before but I have no reason to switch from nginx-proxy-manager. Has anyone got any experience with both of these ? How do they compare?

@MagneticFusion @chemicalwonka I was gonna suggest the same thing but I realize that only solves half of the problem. You would still have to identify to apple services to download and install the app
